Heavenly Lord Asura - Chapter 40

Wutian turned a blind eye to those stares. But Han Tian could not stand it. His face darkened, blue veins popping up on his skin. If his eyes could kill, those people would have died a dozen times.

“What are you staring at? Have you never seen someone as handsome as me before?”

“Handsome? Apparently, you are in the gutter. Stop pretending already.” Someone mocked, rolling his eyes

“I dare you to say that again. Yeah, it’s you. I am talking to you, you ugly, freckled b*tch!”

“Freckled? Heck, you stinky beggar. Let’s square it out!” The girl was furious, her fat hips bouncing around. In fact, instead of ugly, she was pretty. Just that there was a mole at the center of her forehead. People called that a beauty mole.

Women cared about their appearance. When being called ugly and full of freckles, she got furious and wanted a death match with him to vent her anger.

Han Tian stood cross-legged and pointed behind him. “I am out of your league, bitch. Instead, you should fight him.”

“You beggar, I-will-k-kill-you!” The girl got too angry and stammered as she spoke. A glow suddenly appeared in her hand. She unsheathed a crimson, slender sword, and it burned with fire.

Immediately, the girl charged at him with the sword, her movement graceful like a fairy.

“My friend is freaking strong… Umm, what? A dog?” Han Tian stepped aside, thinking of watching a good show. But instead of Wutian, it was a gray dog behind him. The dog poked out its tongue and saliva dripping down its mouth.

Now he understood why the girl got so angry; it was all because of this animal.

“That bitch and you are a perfect match, doggy!” Han Tian patted the dog on the head and pointed at the girl lunging up from behind.

“Woof, woof!” Surprisingly, the big gray dog nodded.

“I will kill you, you jerk!”

Han Tian spoke loudly on purpose, and the girl had surely heard that. Her face flushed. That stinky beggar was an asshole. How could he say the big gray dog and she was a perfect match? She was mad and could not wait to cut his mouth into pieces.

“Hey, bitch, go home with your husband. Don’t come out here to scare people. Wutian, why are you going so quick? Wait for me!” Han Tian let out an evil smile as he disappeared from sight.

“Stinky beggar, stop running!” The girl was outraged. But Han Tian was quick and disappeared before her eyes in just a few blinks of her eyes. She sheathed her slender sword and glared at the big gray dog.

“Woof, Woof!” The dog poked out its tongue and licked her hand, as if saying, “Let’s go home, honey.”

“Go to hell!” The girl gave the big gray dog a good kicking. It wailed and ran away with its tail between its legs.

“Just wait and see. I will make sure you pay!”

The girl stared into the distance, toward the rear courtyard. Her face boiled with anger as she gritted her teeth, revealing a pair of rabbit teeth, looking very cute. She hissed, spun around, and scampered toward the Zhao’s residence entrance.

“Why did you leave without informing me, Wutian? I was thinking of chatting up to that chick, making her your girlfriend. But it was such a bummer.” Han Tian caught up with him and complained.

“I am not interested in such a silly thing!” Wutian was disinterested.

“How could it be silly? It is only human nature for a good young man to date a fair maiden,” said Han Tian.

“Silly!”

“Not silly. It is you who are unromantic, boring!”

While speaking, they came to the bridge. As they crossed, all eyes were on them. People wondered if these two beggars had gotten lost and came to the wrong place.

“They look like the two guys staying in the Eight and Ninth Heaven Houses. They have been missing since this morning. Now they came back and looked bedraggled. What’s going on?”

“Shhh! Stop blabbing. There might be a drama afterward.”

Wutian frowned as he found something wrong with the expressions of these people.

“Wutian!”

Right then, a petite figure cried and ran toward him from the other end of the bridge. Her face was dirty and clothes tattered, with some bruises on her white arms, as if she had been beaten or something.

Wutian was shocked, losing his balance and nearly tumbling to the ground. Was she not Shishi? What happened to her?

“Wutian!” Shishi plunged into his arms and sobbed uncontrollably, looking very sad.

Wutian was startled for a while before bending down to look at her. “What happened, Shishi? What are the bruises on your hands all about? What’s going on?”

“Someone snatched Yi. I wanted to protect Yi, but that guy could not be reasoned with. He used a whip to lash me. It is so painful.” Tears flowed down Shishi’s dust-covered face.

Wutian rolled her sleeves up and saw the bruises on her skin.

“Who did this? How could anyone do this to you?” Han Tian also could not bear to see what happened. He tried to comfort her by touching her, but she flinched, apparently very much in pain.

“He was behind me. I didn’t get to see his face.” Tears kept rolling down.

“Caw, caw!” Little Tian was very close to Shishi and Yi. Knowing that someone had bullied her and snatched Yi from her, its eyes bloodshot, a sense of murderous intent filling the entire rear courtyard.

Wutian’s eyes had also welled up. He gingerly touched the bruises on her arms, a glow appearing on his palm. After refining the brilliant-colored divine liquid, his blood essence possessed a powerful healing effect. Wherever his palm touched, the bruises healed and disappeared, leaving no scars behind.

“Wutian, I can heal the bruises. But I am worried about Yi.” Shishi cried.

“Don’t be worried, Shishi. After healing you, I will bring you to look for Yi.” Wutian’s face looked grave, but his voice and touch were soft. He was afraid of hurting her.

“Caw, caw!” Little Tian jumped onto Shishi’s shoulder, licking her cheek as if it was trying to comfort her.

“Little Thing, you have become beautiful. But Yi is missing. If not, it will surely be happy for you.” Shishi’s eyes were no longer bright but filled with worries.

Little Tian patted itself on the chest as if promising her something. He scanned those people in the surroundings with a murderous look in its eyes.

“It’s done.” Wutian sorted her clothes out and drew her into his arms. “I promise I will get Yi back and make the person who hurt you pay dearly for his mistake.”

“I trust you, Wutian.” Shishi nodded.

Wutian touched her face and let out a bright smile. He then stood up and looked at Han Tian. “Take care of Shishi for me.”

“Wutian, you… sigh. Please don’t kill the innocent. They are the disciples of the Yan Clan.” At first, Han Tian had wanted to stop Wutian. But by the looks of Wutian’s expression, and how much Wutian cared for Shishi, he knew that Wutian would not listen. All he asked of him was not to kill the wrong person.

Wutian nodded, then looked at the crowd in the surroundings. “Tell me, who did this?”

His grandpa’s death had left him with a lonely, cold, and empty heart like a walking dead. He thought he would be like that forever. But the appearance of Shishi changed everything. She had used her warmth, care and family love to nourish and fill up his heart.

If his grandfather was his fetter last time, then Shishi would be his inverted scale. Anyone who touched her must die.

Those people looked at each other, and none of them said a word. Some of them had a blank face, some looking indifferent and even sneering, “No doubt you are the successor of the God of War Sikong Lie, but you are too arrogant!”

“Let me ask one more time: who did this?” Wutian was observing, his voice frosty.

“Hey, is that how you ask for help? Even if I know, I will not tell you.” A girl clad in a yellow dress glared at him, arms akimbo.

“Not good!” Han Tian saw things not looking good, wanting to stop him, but it was too late.

Wutian stepped out, his Ninety-nine Ultimate Realm burst out of him. The bridge broke apart with wooden chips flying in all directions, blasting the lake water a few thousand feet high in the air. The situation suddenly became a mess.

He came beside the yellow-dress girl in just a pace, clutching her by her white neck and lifting her up in the air.

“What? That’s quick!”

“The yellow-dress girl is a Water Being, yet she looks like a sitting duck.”

People were amazed and shocked by Wutian’s speed and strength.

“What are you doing? Let me go. I know nothing!” The girl’s face flushed. She was in fear, especially when she noticed the murderous look in his eyes. She knew that if she kept being headstrong, he would surely kill her.

Wutian did not let her go. Instead, he clenched her even tighter. When his sharp eyes swept over the crowd, no one dared to look at him.

“I-I told you I know nothing. Let me go.” The yellow-dressed girl tried to pull his fingers away from her throat, but no matter how hard she tried, she could not move them a bit.

“I have promised someone not to kill indiscriminately. But that doesn’t mean I dare not. If no one talks, none of you will walk out of here alive.”

After he said this, things heated up even more. Wutian was too arrogant. Those who could come here were all geniuses. They at least had some background and a sense of superiority, sitting up high above their peers. No one had ever dared to threaten them like this.

“Who do you think you are? You really think you the God of War Reincarnated?”

“Don’t think too highly of yourself. We let you have your way last time, but that doesn’t mean we are afraid of you. When push comes to shove, no one knows who is going to win.”

They were geniuses, a cut above their peers; geniuses naturally had the conceit of the geniuses, they would not bow to what others said.

Wutian said nothing but used his action to prove his point.

He leaped forward, grabbed the yellow-dress girl, and lunged into the crowd. As he struck his fist, a shadow was sent flying out and crash-landed on the ground. The person spurted out a mouthful of blood and his expression faded.

“He is alone. We surely can suppress him as long as we fight our best!” Someone shouted.

As the saying went, “the shot hits the bird that pokes its head out.” Wutian raised his finger and invisible energy shot out of his finger.

The one speaking was a young man dressed in white, his cultivation base was in the stage of Gamma. He clenched his hands into fists. His punch was powerful and fearsome but still could not stop the power of a finger. His skin cracked open, blood splattering. The wound was so deep that even his bones were exposed.

“Let’s take him down together!”

Everyone lunged at Wutian at once, each performed their own move with bursts of essence qi, brilliant lights, and sword qi.

Wutian was standing in the center with the yellow-dress girl behind him. He struck out his hands, energy rushing out as if a storm in the sea, defeating every attack.

Bang!

Bodies were sent flying around and crashing to the ground, kicking up clouds of dust into the air. They spurted blood, suffering trauma to their internal organs, and losing their combat ability.

“Let me go, jerk! My butt hurts.” The yellow-dress girl cried in agony.

Wutian spun around and flung his fists; it was the clash between a mortal body and the Secret Manual. He looked as if a tyrannosaurus; a person was knocked down with every step he took. Those violent attacks on his body disappeared as if words fell on deaf ears. He was unbeatable.

He did not intend to kill; he just wanted to find out who hurt Shishi and snatched Yi. He believed that someone here must have witnessed what happened earlier.
