Su Bei looked at Hua Jinan with astonishment. “Mr. Hua is such a considerate man. I didn’t realize it before.”
The man smiled. “No hurry. You’ll slowly discover my strengths.”
Su Bei shook her head as this man was really obsessed with himself.
The dishes were served very soon, and they were mainly plain and nutritious dishes.
Su Bei took a few bites. They looked appetizing, but the taste was really so-so!
She looked at Hua Jinan with a tinge of sympathy in her eyes. “You don’t have to do this. I’m not that delicate.”
Yet, Hua Jinan used an impassive voice and said, “Women can appear indifferent in front of others, but they must act like a princess in front of their own boyfriends!”
No matter what, she could never win him in an argument. So, she changed the topic.
“Mr. Hua, that young and delicate babe just now was in her prime. You’re really senseless for turning down her good intentions!” Su Bei laughed while she ate.
The man raised his eyebrows and cast his gaze upon Su Bei. “You want me to accept her?”
Su Bei put aside her chopsticks. All of a sudden, she was in good spirits as she nodded without any hesitation. Her eyes were smiling. “I meant that. However, I was trying to say she’s better than me in terms of looks and age. I’m just an old and leftover girl. If you have a child with her, the baby will be very good-looking.”
For the first time, this woman was laughing out loud merrily in front of him.
The man was chewing a peanut as he was in a good mood. “What you said makes some sense.”
Su Bei was getting joyous. She quickly picked up some spinach and placed it in his bowl with her chopsticks. With a smile, she said, “See, don’t just stick yourself to one choice all the time. You must look around occasionally so that you won’t miss anything and don’t leave any regrets behind.”
The woman looked at the man with expectancy. “Then, will you stop seeing me in the future?”
Her eyes were fixated on the man when she asked.
The man looked at her with his abstruse eyes. He answered, “I think it’s too troublesome to meet this way too.”
Su Bei suddenly felt a weight lift off her chest.
She almost wanted to yell ‘Yeah!’ But she always saw herself as a composed person.
As such, she only allowed herself to laugh heartily in her heart while remaining expressionless on the outside. She raised her glass and said, “Let this be our farewell ceremony today. From now on, we’ll go separate ways and never see each other again!”
Then she paused and added, “Should we meet again, we’ll only be strangers!”
In the end, she even said with generosity, “This meal is on me!”
As soon as she finished talking, she raised her glass of water and blinked at him. In one shot, she finished the water.
But when she put down the glass, she realized that the man was observing her with an indifferent look. He did not touch his glass of water.
The look in the man’s eyes caused her to feel a little flustered.
What does he mean?
“Why aren’t you drinking?” She looked at his glass.
The man suddenly revealed a faint smile. “Are you that eager to get rid of me?”
Su Bei was stunned for a while before she nodded and looked at the man with a smile. Even so, her words were cold. “I can’t wait to send you to the Pacific Ocean with one kick so that you can remain in the water forever!”
Hua Jinan chuckled. “You’re really vicious. However, this kind of wild imagination is not conducive to prenatal education. Hence, you better give up on making such a dream in the future.”
Su Bei got angry. “What if I want to turn this dream into a reality?”
There was coldness found in between the man’s brows. “Not in this life. But it’s effortless if you want to go for a swim in the Pacific Ocean.”
Is he threatening her?
Su Bei’s exasperation showed in her voice. “You were the one who said that babe was not bad just now!”
“Yes, she’s not bad. But unfortunately, she lacks some unique temperament compared to you. Most importantly, you’re pregnant and she’s not.”
The man sighed in a low voice. “I could save a lot of trouble!”
