Qin Mosheng stayed quiet. He unconsciously took a step back.
Suddenly, he felt that everything was a fairytale. What he wanted could not possibly happen to him.
Su Bei breathed in deeply. “Now you know I’m not the perfect woman you’ve dreamed of. There are stains on my past that could not possibly be removed. Repent, and you can still find someone else.
“Mosheng, now you know why I won’t accept you. Not because you’re not good enough, but it’s because I had already given up from the beginning!” Su Bei said slowly.
After a while, Qin Mosheng raised his head and looked at Su Bei, his eyes smiling. “It’s too late!
“I’ve fallen in love with you! Su Bei, I don’t care what you’ve said just now. I only believe what I see in front of me, and you are a girl deserving of love. I don’t care about your past!” Qin Mosheng said with seriousness.
Su Bei would never expect that he would still be that obstinate after everything she had told him!
“You saw my family’s reactions. My family would never accept you. Me neither! If you don’t want to lose me as a friend, then, please don’t force me!”
Su Bei felt really sad.
However, Qin Mosheng looked at her with his deep eyes. “Su Bei, our love can overcome any form of obstacle. Even though the obstacle in front of us is a tough one, if we work together, nothing would be a problem for us. Believe me, I will make your family accept me. Give me a chance, and give yourself a chance, alright?”
It seemed obvious he was shaken by what Su Bei had told him. However, he did not want to give up.
He had never fallen for anyone for the thirty years of his life. However, upon meeting Su Bei, he felt that it was the greatest gift God had given him.
They were focused on talking and did not realize a person was approaching them until that person had spoken.
“Maybe you think you have a chance. However, she doesn’t have any!”
Just as Su Bei was about to turn around, she felt her shoulder being grabbed. She was shaken by what she saw when she turned her head around.
“Why is it you again?”
Hua Jinan stood beside her with a grin on his face.
“Mr. Hua?” Qin Mosheng’s voice was a bit shaky.
Hua Jinan nodded. “President Qin, long time no see.” He greeted him as if nothing big had happened, then raised his eyebrows. “However, I did not expect to meet you here.”
Qin Mosheng’s black eyes were fixated on Hua Jinan’s hand which was placed on Su Bei’s shoulder. “Do you know her? Also, what do you mean by the words you said just now?”
Hua Jinan smiled. Su Bei tried to get his hand off, but his hand slid to her waist, then hugged her tightly and looked at Su Bei with a smile that appeared threatening.
“You want me to hug you?”
Hua Jinan’s playful eyes hid his displeasure. Su Bei knew that he could do what he said he would do, so she kept her silence.
Then, Hua Jinan moved his gaze towards Qin Mosheng. He smiled and said with a deep voice, “She will become Mrs. Hua in no time at all, that’s why…”
A playful grin flashed across his face. “That’s why, President Qin, there’s no need for any further explanations.”
Qin Mosheng snorted coldly. “You think you can make me give up by just telling me to back off? Fair competition is not like that!”
Hua Jinan laughed. There was no warmth in his smile, and he moved his hand to her body and spoke with an arrogant tone. “She’s the mother of my child. Competition? You’ve already lost long ago!”
