It was evening. The evening sun shone a bright orange shade of light across the sky.
Su Bei was tired from reading her books while sitting at the rocking chair beside her bed, and she closed her eyes to get some rest.
It was the second day since she returned home from the hospital, and her body had recovered.
Yesterday, an official came to learn more about her father’s situation.
Her mother was extremely happy, and a smile was glued to her face for these past few days.
Su Bei was also in a good mood. The problem that had always been troubling her family was finally being resolved.
“Beibei, it’s dinner time,” her mother called.
“Coming.” Su Bei tossed aside the rug covering her legs and got up.
There were three dishes for their dinner, which meant that her mother’s happiness had not yet faded.
Su Bei would get hungry very quickly, and she would eat a lot.
Seeing that it was her favorite Muxu Pork and Persimmon dish, her stomach kept insisting on growling.
Yao Guizhen looked at her and scolded her while laughing. “I can’t figure out what’s the problem with you. Even though you lost your job, your appetite continues to increase.”
Grandma Su, too, laughed. “Beibei had gotten fatter recently. That’s good. Better fat than thin.”
She looked at her granddaughter who had a slightly curved figure, and she smiled wholesomely.
“Beibei, did you hear that? You have to be a fat little pig for grandmother’s sake,” Su Yu added.
Su Bei laughed, then clamped Su Yu’s neck with her elbow. “When the time comes when I can’t find a partner, you’ll be in charge of taking care of me. I don’t mind becoming a fat little pig though.”
Su Yu replied warmly, “Alright, I’ll take care of you.” His tone was full of seriousness.
“Sit down and eat. Stop fooling around.”
Yao Guizhen brought the soup out.
It was a long time since the family was happily eating together like that.
As she ate, she felt everything she tasted was delicious.
If this could last forever, wouldn’t it be great?
Suddenly, the sound of knocking could be heard.
As Sui Bei went to check and saw who it was, she shuddered.
Qin Mosheng was standing outside the door.
Just as Su Bei went to stop him, he had already entered.
“Mosheng, why did you come?” Su Bei asked coldly.
Qin Mosheng had a steady gaze. Su Bei wanted to interrupt what he had to say, but he never gave her a chance to do that.
He said with a serious expression, “Madam, I have come to ask for your blessing. I want to marry Su Bei!”
Su Bei’s brain exploded at that moment.
Yao Guizhen’s face turned darker than ever. She slowly stood up and looked at him with vicious eyes, then landed her gaze on Su Bei. She gritted her teeth and asked, “Beibei, what’s the meaning of this?”
“Mom, there’s some sort of misunderstanding here. Please listen to my explanation. I don’t have anything to do with him!” Su Bei tried to explain.
Qin Mosheng immediately interrupted Su Bei and spoke defiantly. “Su Bei, there’s no misunderstanding here. None at all. However, we will definitely marry each other. I want to marry you!”
Su Bei immediately stared at him. “Mosheng, what’s wrong with you? I explained everything to you clearly yesterday, so what are you trying to do now?”
Qin Mosheng locked his steely gaze onto her. “Beibei, I don’t care what kind of trouble or pain you’ve been through in the past. I will love you, care for you, and cherish you for the rest of your life. Please, marry me!”
The last thing Su Bei expected was for the usually calm and elegant Qin Mosheng to kneel in front of her on one leg.

“Su Bei, will you marry me?” He took out a shiny diamond ring from out of his pocket.
Su Bei had more than enough. “Mosheng, stand up right now!”
Qin Mosheng shook his head. “Su Bei, please let me take care of you for the rest of my life, alright?”
He was already set on marrying her!
