Su Bei wanted to faint again. This man wanted her to be responsible?

“Hey, is something wrong with you? I’m only 26 and unmarried. Without knowing what happened, we slept together. Now you actually want me to be responsible?” Su Bei was infuriated.

The smile on that man was faint. “I can be responsible for you!”

Oh my gosh!

She let out a long breath. With a harsh voice, she said, “Hey, I said I don’t need you to be responsible for it. Don’t you get it?”

The man nodded. “Yeah, I got it.”

Great, finally making some sense over here.

“Then put me down now.” Su Bei was impatient.

That man stood still. “I already said you have to be responsible. Do you get it?”

Su Bei almost wanted to explode. Harshly, she asked, “What do you really want? My patience is limited.”

The man put her down. His eyes were dark, and his voice was determined. “Marry me!”

Su Bei felt like puking blood. Where did this man come from? Is he sick?

“Marry you? Hey, are you kidding me?” Su Bei glared at him before she turned to look for Lin Chuxia.

Once again, she was taken aback by surprise. The corridor which was filled with people just now was replaced by the suited men, and no one else was around. Lin Chuxia was also nowhere in sight.

The man’s deep voice sounded off beside her ear. “I never joke around. Go home and retrieve your Household Register, and we’ll head to the Bureau of Civil Affairs immediately.”

Su Bei was so enraged that she stomped her foot. She turned around with anger. “Hey, Sir. Who agreed to marry you? Are you some sort of lunatic that just escaped from the mental institution? You didn’t take your medication, did you?”

This woman is calling him a lunatic. His eyes were unrelenting, and his expression was cold when he looked at Su Bei. “You are carrying my baby, so you must marry me.”

Su Bei chuckled coldly. “Really? I’m officially telling you that I don’t want this baby. So, get as far away from me as you can.”

Watching how Su Bei rebuked him, surprisingly, his eyes turned from fuming to smiling. “Su Bei, right? I’m officially telling you that I want this baby, and I’m going to marry you.”

Su Bei could not be bothered with him, so she turned and walked away.

This man even knew her name!

But as soon as she took a step forward, she was blocked by those suited men. Su Bei looked at them and asked, “What are you guys doing? Get out of my way.”

“It’s useless. They only listen to my command. Without my consent, not even a fly can get out of this place.”

Su Bei turned around to see the man sitting in a chair, looking back at her with composure.

Is this man from the triad? Were these men that he brought along with him bodyguards or some sort of gang thugs?

Oh no, why was she so unlucky? Without knowing what happened, her virginity was taken away, and now, she got herself involved with some triad?

Su Bei was getting nervous. She heard that the members from the triad were inhuman. If she disagreed with him, would he kill her or get a group of people to gang-rape her?

She was more worried that they would look up her family members and silence them all.

With this thought in mind, Su Bei decided not to go head-on with the man. She decided to use facts to convince him.

She strode up to the man and threw him a polite smile before she said slowly, “I’m 26 this year, and I’m not young anymore. You may think that I’m quite good-looking now, but that is all due to the illusion of make-up. When I remove it, I look quite scary and it might even give you nightmares for an entire month.”

The man narrowed his eyes and curled the corner of his lips. “I’m bold and afraid of nothing.”

Su Bei went weak instantly. She continued saying, “I heard that the best time for a woman to give birth is at the age of 24 or 25, and it looks like I am over the limit. Besides, I don’t have good genes. The child that I give birth to is certainly not going to be smart.”

The man replied with a proud face, “It’s okay. I have good genes.”

Su Bei took a deep breath. “Look at me. I don’t have a pretty face or a sexy figure. You’ll lose out if you marry me.”

The man slightly squinted his eyes as he scrutinized Su Bei from head to toe. “You’re indeed a little ugly, and your figure is not hot enough.”

Su Bei was elated. Sometimes, getting hated on was not entirely a bad thing.

“But on the account that you served me well in the bed, I’ll reluctantly accept you,” said the man with slight resistance.
