Around the lair, the surviving normal dragons flapped their wings in fear, and fled far away from the danger.
Seeing this, Bates was somewhat displeased. He didn’t want to let the normal venomous dragons go! Every venomous dragon killed represented a few giant dragon genes, and he wanted to collect as many as possible.
The magic spear struck out again, finally damaging the other eye of the dragon boss.
Bates sliced its neck, and with his hand, he pushed through the wound and grabbed onto a new bone!
“Turn around! Chase after those fleeing venomous dragons!” Bates roared furiously. He held the insect magic spear in his right hand and the bone of the dragon boss in his left hand. He was able to change the flying direction of the dragon, and chased after ones that had escaped.
The dragon boss could not understand Bates’ words, but under the sharp spear he held, it obediently followed what he commanded.
It had lost its eyesight, so it couldn’t tell its direction, but with Bates controlling it, the dragon had no choice but to follow Bates’ guidance.
The dragon boss flew faster and higher, as Bates drew his spear once again, and slashed down one of the dragons that had tried to escape. The sound of its body colliding with the ground made an almighty thud.
The dragon boss had higher flying speeds than normal dragons, so it was easy for Bates to catch up with them.
Controlling the dragon boss made Bates feel like a dragon knight, and now, not even an elite-tier venomous dragon could withstand his attack!
Bates soared high up in the sky, as with every turn he brought down another normal dragon, and after a few minutes, only two or three of the dragons were still alive!
The remaining two or three did not dare to continue escaping. The more they tried to escape, the more of a target they were to Bates.
In the end, the remaining two to three dragons were slaughtered by Bates, and their bodies fell to the ground.
He had killed three elite dragons, and 12 normal dragons. Not only was this a huge amount of experience, evolution, and gene points, but it also totaled close to 20 dragon genes.
After killing the last dragon, Bates was in no hurry to kill the dragon boss he was controlling. Instead, he continued to fly high in the air.
There were two lord-tier bosses in the lair. The dragon boss that Bates controlled was at level 30. It had four attributes that were stronger than Bates. However, it was the smaller of the two lord-tier bosses.
This was the female venomous dragon.
The other, more powerful venomous dragon was not in the lair.
Bates didn’t have to wait for long, before he noticed a black dot appear on the distant horizon.
It had heard the shrill cry from the female boss, and flew towards the lair at extremely fast speeds, and quickly appeared in the sky near Bates.
It was an even larger venomous dragon.
The female boss, that Bates was controlling, had an extremely large body, around 10 meters long, and stood 7 meters tall on the ground.
The venomous dragon that had just appeared, had a body length of 15 meters!
This was a true behemoth, and the true ruler of the dragon’s lair!
Seeing the corpses of the dragons on the ground, and the wounded female boss, the male dragon boss roared furiously and spat out a mouthful of green poisonous breath towards Bates!
“Change direction!”
Ignoring the poisonous breath, Bates grabbed the skeleton of the female dragon with his left hand and swung it around rapidly. The female boss started to sprint, whilst under excruciating pain.
When they were a few hundred meters away from the male boss, Bates turned the dragon around, and ordered it to dive towards the second boss!
300 meters to go!
200 meters to go!
100 meters to go!
When they were only 50 meters away, the second boss caught up to them.
Bates laughed! He pierced his spear into the female’s head, ending its life!
“Ding! You have killed the Venomous Flying Dragon Lord. Obtained 20,000 experience points. Obtained 5 soul points.”
“You have killed the Venomous Flying Dragon Lord. The Venomous Dragon Lord has a lord attribute template. You have obtained the attributes panel of the Venomous Flying Dragon Lord.’
Suddenly, Bates jumped from the corpse of the female dragon boss and pounced towards the male dragon that was already beside him!
When he came into contact with the male dragon, Bates used his [ survey ] skill and learned part of the dragon’s information.

It was at level 35, and its frightening red health bar showed just how terrifying the dragon boss was.
Bates assumed that it possessed more skills than the three he’d been able to see. It was more likely that the difference in strength between him and the dragon was too great, and [ survey ] could not identify all of its attributes.
Under normal circumstances, Bates would not be a match for the dragon, especially now it had the advantage of flying freely.
Therefore, he had to take a gamble!
Bates had thought of a strategy that would be incredibly risky, but could kill the dragon instantly!
He swung his spear with all his might, and pierced it right through the head of the dragon. When it sensed the life force gradually dissipating from its body, the dragon boss went berserk! It spat three mouthfuls of poisonous breath from its mouth filled with fangs! Its speed increased once again, charging towards Bates who was climbing high up in the air.
A foul stench emanated from its mouth, and its sharp teeth gleamed with a terrifying cold light.
After the poisonous breath failed to affect Bates, the dragon boss used its fangs and sharp claws instead!
Only by grabbing Bates and tearing him into pieces and swallowing him into its stomach, could the male boss avenge its children and partner!
Yet, Bates was ready and waiting!
