From Ant to Demon God of the Abyss - Chapter 33

[ template ] : Lord Attribute Template

[ origin ] : King of the Swamp Murlocs

[ bonus ] : Health 10,000, Strength 10, Agility 10, Energy 15, Spirit 20

[ skills ] : Ice Shield, Ice Explosion, Swamp Devour

On the way to the venomous dragons, Bates took a look at the attribute template dropped by the murloc lord.

Judging from the bonuses and skills, the murloc lord was obviously a spellcaster. The attribute template it possessed was even more powerful than the goblin general, Geer!

He was a spellcaster, and he had a meat shield class like the three murloc rangers in his family.

The combat power of the murloc king would have been beyond everyone’s imagination. Unfortunately, Bates had already crushed him. His three great resistance skills had allowed Bates to be immune its to frost and poison spells. The development of his four attributes gave Bates an extremely strong explosive power. This meant the murloc lord was killed instantly, without even having time to react.

After obtaining the murloc lord’s template, Bates chose to integrate it with his own attribute template, making the progress of it increase to 58%

His guess was right. As long as two more lord templates were integrated into his attribute template, his template would advance again, from a warrior-level to a true lord-level template!

Only then would Bates’ family and race truly bound to him.

After half a day, Bates brought the worker ants to the northern part of the poisonous swamp, the territory of the venomous flying dragons.

Compared to the murlocs’ territory, this area was even more barren. Other than the rotten swamp and the withered trees, there were almost no other powerful monsters in the entire territory. All the monsters that entered, were captured by the dragons and became their food.

They started at level 15, and their average level was 20. They were definitely the overlord of this territory.

After entering the area, it was obvious where to find the dragon lair. The closer they got to their location, the fewer monsters there were.

Perhaps the venomous dragons disliked eating low-level monsters, but the powerful aura emitted by the two lord-tier dragons was enough to make most monsters stay away.

After a few hours, Bates successfully found the venomous dragons’ lair. It was situated on a cliff, by the edge of the poisonous swamp, and consisted of a few caves connected together.

He saw six dragons, all different sizes, playing on the cliff edge. There were two young ones flying in the air, chasing and fighting.

After letting the worker ants hide, Bates approached the lair, and used the [ survey ] skill to see if he could gather any information.

[ race ] : Venomous Flying Dragons

[ level ] : Level 22

[ attributes ] : Strength 130, Agility 80, Energy 120, Spirit 70

[ skills ] : Venom Breath Hardens Skin

Looking at the dragons’ attributes, Bates couldn’t help but sigh at how powerful this race was. Just a normal dragon had four attributes that much more advanced than any of the worker ants. It made Bates wonder how terrifying an elite dragon’s, or the two lord dragons’ four attributes might be.

After a while, he managed to gather his thoughts, and decided to continue hunting the poisonous dragons.

The lord-tier templates were the easiest for Bates to get. If he missed these two templates, he didn’t know when he would encounter any again, and he needed them to raise his attribute template to lord-tier.

Moreover, with the [ resistant armor shell ] skill, and three great resistance skills, the dragons’ attacks would be greatly reduced.

Bates might have a chance here. The worst-case scenario would mean him giving up, and escaping in a sorry state.

If he decided to wait for the players to descend, Bates would have to abandon the gold-eating ants that he had painstakingly nurtured for a long time.

Unfortunately, when Bates had used the [ survey ] skill on the lair, the dragons who were playing in the air, had sensed Bates and discovered him in the swamp. The two dragons soared towards Bates, ready to eat him.

The two dragons cried out unpleasantly, as they dived down, their sharp claws aiming at Bates!

Bates sneered. He looked at them dead in the eyes, and didn’t dodge or retreat. It was only when the sharp claws of one dragon swooped close, that Bates suddenly took half a step back, and then a ray of black light burst out! The insect demon spear moved in the air, and the sharp blade of the spear slashed directly at the fragile neck of the first dragon. Its huge head fell to the floor, followed by its body, crashing into the swamp, leaving large craters in the ground.

With just an ordinary, simple attack, Bates had managed to kill a strong dragon!

Seeing the first dragon’s encounter, the second one was more afraid.

It flapped its wings, desperately trying to stop its diving posture. Then it flew up, wanting to escape back to inside the lair, but it was already too late!

Bates’ eyes locked onto the second dragon’s head. He raised the insect demon spear in his hand, took half a step back, and then launched it across the air!

The second dragon was pierced through the head by the demon spear, and it fell to the ground!

Bates’ spear returned to him, and he stabbed it into the corpse of the first dragon.

“Ding! You have devoured the flesh of the Venomous Flying Dragon. Obtained 2,500 experience points, 100 evolution points, 300 venomous dragon genes, and 1 giant dragon gene.”

“Giant Dragon Gene?” Bates questioned, unfazed by the massive attribute bonus’. He was more interested in the gene points he’d managed to obtain. His jaw dropped in shock.

This was the dragon gene!
