Forest Survival: From Logging to Login - Chapter 27

“Tiger skin, tiger teeth, and the head. I want all of them.”

It was a short sentence, but Ed could smell something fishy from it.

For someone to demand so many things at once, what they intended to trade for it would undoubtedly be precious, or at least very rare.

He was beginning to look forward to this. What exactly did this buyer have to offer?

The person on the other side was silent for a few seconds before sending over a thumbnail of an item, which looked like a small icon.

This icon was not fixed, but slowly rotated. Above it, a row of prominent words flashed: Gold-quality wooden house forging blueprint!

Hiss!

When Ed saw this, his breathing quickened.

This wasn’t just a precious resource, it was a rare item!

Not to mention, it was a gold-quality forging blueprint!

Ed hadn’t expected that this survivor who was chatting with him could actually possess such an important item.

“Do you want to trade or not?”

That person sent out a follow up text. The sound of the message coming in pulled Ed back to reality.

Of course I want to trade!

Ed was roaring in his heart.

How could he give up such a precious opportunity?

If he missed this, he would be regretting it for the rest of his life.

However, he kept his calm, and chose not to reply to this person right away. Instead, he began to think. If Ed agreed to the deal right now, the benefits wouldn’t amount to much.

He made a surprising decision as he typed in a text before sending it out.

“No deal.”

With those two simple words, he closed the chat box.

Ed wanted to gamble. If he won this bet, he would be able to further maximize his benefits. If he lost, he would miss this opportunity.

Everything was up to fate.

As he waited, Ed was far from calm. The longer it took, the higher the chance of failure would be.

The survivor on the other end did not reply with any messages, and did not even send a counteroffer.

The two sides seemed to be in a stalemate.

Five minutes passed.

“Sigh, looks like it’s gone…”

Ed muttered, and prepared to shut off the interface.

Right as he was about to do so, a message popped up again. It was from none other than the survivor who had offered the blueprint.

“Tiger skin and tiger teeth. Any less and we really won’t be able to deal.”

Seeing this, Ed’s worried heart slightly relaxed.

The fish had taken the bait. It was now time for him to operate.

“Half the tiger’s skin and half its set of teeth. I only have so much.”

He sent out such a sentence.

Ed was not too afraid that the survivor would refuse. It was almost time to conclude the deal, so there was no reason for the other party to give it up.

At the same time, he deduced that the person on the other end really needed the two items that he had. The tiger skin would probably be used to make clothes. The only use of the teeth would be for making a weapon for self-defense. After all, it would be fitting, the toughness and sharpness of the material would make a good weapon. It was needless to say that a tiger’s teeth would be extremely sharp after a lifetime of hunting.

Just as he had expected, not long after this, the other party agreed to the transaction.

Picking up the tiger’s skin, Ed cut it directly in half. He also collected the tiger’s teeth, sorting out the sharper ones to keep and allocating only the blunt ones for the trade. He put the prepared items on the shelf, and the other party agreed to the transaction.

At that moment, in front of another small wooden cabin, a strong man about 1.9 meters tall was rubbing his hands as he paced back and forth before his door.

At the same time, he was mumbling something, as if he was praying.

From the smile on the muscular man’s face, it could clearly be seen that he was in a very jovial mood, as if something worth being happy over had just happened.

Judging from the rippling muscles all over his body, it was obvious that he was a person who had trained for a long time. Moreover, to have been able to obtain so much wood in such a short period of time, he must have been someone who had done field work before.

“I can use the tiger’s teeth to make a weapon soon…”

The muscular man mumbled excitedly.

He was the survivor who had made the deal with Ed. Honestly, he was still very distressed. After all, that had been the only blueprint he had. It would have been a lie to say that he hadn’t been reluctant to trade it.

However, when he thought about the fact that he would soon be able to eat delicious meat, he could not stop himself from licking his lips.

He had found an injured deer yesterday, and it had not gone far. As long as he could make a weapon, he would be able to kill it, and finally get his hands on delicious meat.

A ray of light gleamed from the small wooden house.

The moment he saw the light, the brawny man knew that the transaction had been successful. He could not hold back his excitement as he pushed the door open.

However, his joyous yell of celebration that had been about to burst out was choked in his throat as he looked at the items that had arrived. His initially cheery face immediately transformed into one of fury.

“Damn f*ggot! How dare you fool me?!”

“Don’t let me get my hands on you!”

The man was enraged as he yelled fiercely. He now hated Ed to the bone.

Autumn!

Ed sneezed loudly.

“I finally got it.”

He excitedly opened his storage space to look at the item lying in the box. It was the gold-quality wooden house forging blueprint that he had just traded for.

After going through all kinds of hardships, he had finally gotten it. He was so excited!

At the same time, its description appeared in his mind.

[ Gold-quality Wooden House Forging Blueprint: Vastly improves chances of survival in this dangerous forest. The materials used are solid and the workmanship is meticulous. All in all a blueprint for an excellent wooden house. ]

Reading the information that had appeared in his mind, especially the required materials, Ed was stunned.

This required way too many things, many of which he had none of at the moment. There were also a number of resources that he had simply never heard of as well. Moreover, even the materials that he currently had were still little insufficient.

He had initially thought that he had already gathered a lot of resources, but now that he compared them to these requirements, it seemed that he still needed to work a lot harder! Even so, it would probably take a while to gather everything that was required.

As it was already late at night, Ed prepared to rest.

He had thought about trading again, but decided to wait until early the next morning.
