For an Elegant Night of Villains - Chapter 2

I raised myself with a sigh. This was not right. Something went wrong. This was a situation that I didn’t understand. I shouldn’t have expected things to be solved just by waiting calmly.

After getting away from the man’s arms, I forced my head to work, which had become dormant after excessive long-term sleep.

There were two possible scenarios:

First, I was 18 years old, and this was Auster’s trick to hunt me down.

Second, I really did lose my memory.

In order to confirm which one was true, I had to check the sincerity of the Saint in front of me.

I reached out my hand and brushed off the shards of glass, and opened my mouth towards Camilla.

“Hand.”

“Huh?”

“You’re a Saint. So I’ll prove it. Give me your hand.”

A dragon could detect holy power. And I, the purest of them, was qualified to be able to detect the integrity of her as a Saint.

Camilla hesitated, but held out her hand towards me and muttered,

“Well, people don’t change.”

“What?”

“It’s nothing.”

I grabbed her by the arm to check the pulse of her magic flowing, and she shuddered by the amount of power pouring in like a tide.

Damn, she was a Saint.

I couldn’t deny it, even though I wished to. This enormous amount of magic and the unique element was something that was not possible unless she was a Saint.

I was dumbfounded and looked around the room. When I felt the strange gazes towards me, I threw a glance at a man who was the Grand Duke, who looked at me leisurely.

I bit my lips furiously. There was no reason for the Saint to lie, as long as I was the the Empire’s Princess.

I wanted to hold my head and scream, but I couldn’t because of all the gazes on me. I quietly recited,

“Get out.”

My low voice caught the attention of the people, and then they looked at the man.

How dare they ignore the orders of mine? I had the blood of the Vallein Empire, no matter how high ranked he was.

How dare—

I was furious and irritated. Why, I thought it was just a ecstatic night with a handsome man. Why was it suddenly going this way?

This wasn’t right!

I could pride myself on living as an exemplary life without doing anything wrong for 18 years.

Even though I was negligent in practicing magic from time to time, I didn’t commit a crime to the extent that I suddenly lost my memory and made a couple’s relationship with Auster, even though I lost my body as a Princess by time!

“Ophelia.”

Oh, my God. What is this? What’s wrong with this? Why is Auster the Grand Duke? The Grand Duke? Why is he—

“Ophelia!”

“Oh, shut up! I can’t think… Heuk!”

I put my hand over my mouth. Oh, what did I do. I was in my enemy’s territory, no, because he was my husband. No, I was alone with someone closer to my enemy than as a husband, and I yelled?

My mouth didn’t listen to me, my head didn’t work correctly, and my vision wasn’t cooperating, but then… all was black.
