Descent of the Demon God - Chapter 121

Ha Hyunkang, the leader of Gatekeepers, became shocked as he turned to Chun Yeowun who appeared out of nowhere and pushed out gatekeepers with unknown power.

‘What was that just now?’

It was an invisible force that pushed the gatekeepers including himself out from the Gate. It was different from the superhuman powers that they were used to. It seemed it was the force that was widely used by Yulinians called internal energy, or Qi.

‘Yulinian?’

But the man did not seem like any Yulinian he knew. The aura surrounding the man and sense of formidable power made even Ha Hyunkang, who had over seven Gate Defense Wars, feel wary.

And it seemed it wasn’t only him who felt as such. All gatekeepers who quickly got up on their feet were now focusing on this one man.

“Ancestor.”

President Chun Yujang looked back at Chun Yeowun with a shameful look. Chun Yeowun shook his head as he replied.

“Since when did our cult bribe the government, and when were we pushed around by some weird men with weird powers who are not even from Yulin?”

Chun Yujang could not respond to any of the accusations. He himself could not bring himself up from the embarrassment. There was a time back in the years of the old Black Sky Company, when the Demonic Cult ruled over the entire land and even the Government did not dare to come across the path against them. Chun Yujang himself wanted to bring those days back.

‘But ancestor… the time we are living in is now not about one man with supreme power.’

He could not say it out loud. Chun Yujang could not hide his frustration. He had gotten approval from the department leader of the City Security Department, but he did not want to make enemies with the Defense Department as that would put them in a weaker position. It was when they were all deciding on what to do when Yu Sohwa, the SS Class Gatekeeper, spoke to Baek Jinchang.

“Lieutenant Major?”

“Y-yes, ma’am?”

“They are obstructing justice now. Arrest them.”

Lieutenant Major Baek Jinchang bit his lips at the order. There was no room for any negotiation now. Of course, Yongchun Group was an organization comprised of Yulinians, so they were not going to accept arrest. Baek Jinchang raised his hand and shouted, “1, and 2nd Squadron! Prepare to fire!”

“Prepare to fire!”

With his order, over twenty Defense Department soldiers immediately readied to fire their rifles, aiming at Chun Yeowun, Chun Yujang, and the security agents of Yongchun Group by the Gate.

“President Yong. You have to come with us. If you make the slightest move, we will f…”

‘?!’

Chun Yeowun took a step forward even before Baek Jinchang had finished his words.

‘You give me no choice!’

There was no choice left anymore. They already had been warned, and Yu Sohwa was pressuring them to enforce the law. Baek Jinchang frowned and shouted, “FIRE!”

With the order, soldiers immediately pulled their triggers. Gunfire flashed at the tip of the muzzle of rifles, but soldiers immediately turned dumb as they fired at Chun Yeowun.

‘What is it?’

The more they fired, the more dots were added to their sight. Soldiers who were becoming confused soon stopped firing their rifles, then realized what had happened and became shocked.

“W-what is that!?”

“B-bullets are…!”

Bullets did not even move out three meters from the muzzles and stopped in the air. Hundreds of bullets were spinning in place as if they were stuck in an invisible wall. All people including Baek Jinchang became shocked.

“How can this be?!”

And to those who were shocked, Chun Yeowun spoke.

“Take it back.”

He waved his hand lightly, and the bullets in the air immediately turned around and were about to shoot back to the soldiers.

“Hiiiek!”

“R-run!!”

It was too sudden and with short notice that soldiers had no way to run away. It was then.

All bullets that were about to fly back were thrown to the ground and stuck. Soldiers fell back to their ground from shock and turned their gaze at the ground.

“Hmm?”

Chun Yeowun became intrigued. It was SS Class Gatekeeper Yu Sohwa who had stopped these bullets. Just like her nickname, Gravity Witch, she immediately pushed down bullets into the ground with the force of gravity before it could kill soldiers.

“Pull back your troops. It seems this is not a place for ordinary men.”

“Y-yes, ma’am.”

She ordered Baek Jinchang to pull back his troops, then turned to Ha Hyunkang, the captain of Jenam City Gatekeepers.

“Work together and take that man down.”

Gatekeepers became frustrated by Yu Sohwa’s order. They just witnessed the man blocking hundreds of bullets and throwing them back with just flick of a hand. There was no way that they had a chance to win against such a monster even if they fought together. That’s when a B Class Gatekeeper who was once a Yulinian spoke out in defiance.

“W-with that kind of power, he must be IN grade or higher! It’s not someone a B or C class Gatekeeper can deal with!”

IN Grade. The Yulin Organization had its own grading system to grade Yulinian’s martial art stage to make it more visible.

[JA Grade – Divine Master

CHOOK Grade – End stage Supreme Master

IN Grade – Beginning stage Supreme Master

MYO Grade – End stage Superior Master

JIN Grade – Beginning stage Superior Master

SA Grade – End stage Super Master

OH Grade – Beginning stage Super Master

MI Grade – End stage Master

SIN Grade – Beginning stage Master

YU Grade – High class

SUR Grade – Middle Class

HAE Grade – Low class]

This was the Yulinian grading system for the current Yulin Organization. The number of higher grade Yulinians was very low, and there was no known members who were registered as JA Grade Yulinians. But there was a rumor that the current President of Yulin Organization, and also one the current Yulin Top Five Strongest Warriors was at the JA Grade. But this was not public information.

‘If he is over IN Grade, then only gatekeepers with S Class or higher can handle him.’

This man, a B Grade Keeper, was OH Grade in the Yulin Organization’s grading system. He was a squad leader within the Gatekeepers due to his master stage martial art power, but he did not want to fight against a monster who could block hundreds of bullets with just the use of energy.

“Ugh, Yulinians.”
