Heavy rain was falling in constant streams as Qin Zhiyou got out of bed. Outside, the strong winds beat against the velvet curtains, throwing them in gusty waves as they billowed back and forth.
A gentle murmur sounded beside him, as if the person was disturbed by the storm outside. Hearing this, Qin Zhiyou turned around and looked at the woman lying beside him.
Lu Weixi did not sleep soundly. Red lips were tightly clenched on by her shell-like teeth to the point that faint teeth marks remained. Her brows were knitted slightly, like a perfumed lily shaking in the wind.
The man watched her from the side for a long time, and he could not help but stretch out his hand, wanting to relax those tightly-knitted brows. When his long fingers touched the top of her face, Lu Weixi’s brows moved slightly, as if she was about to wake up.
Almost instantly, Qin Zhiyou retracted his fingers and picked up the pajamas beside him, as he slowly put them on with his back facing her. Then, he stood up and his tall build walked toward the door. Pushing it open, he called out, “Auntie Hao”
The housekeeper, Auntie Hao, walked over.
“Prepare a cup of black coffee and take it to the study.”
Auntie Hao nodded and just as she was just about to go downstairs, Qin Zhiyou took two steps and his brows furrowed, as if he thought of something, and he hurriedly called out again.

Lu Weixi was just about to speak, when she realized that his eyes were glued to the documents on the table, as he flipped them with his lips tightly pressed against each other, without even bothering to look up and greet her.
Lu Weixi kept waiting at the side. Until he finished his coffee, she could not resist anymore and said, “Zhiyou.”
Qin Zhiyou did not even look at her, as his intricate fingers calmly flipped the documents, his eyes comparing them to the screen in front of him from time to time. “What’s the matter?”
“Including today, this is the fourth day you’ve been home this week, and the tenth day in this month.” Lu Weixi tried hard to gather her thoughts.
