Black Hunter - Chapter 9

“I just said, let’s do well.”

“How about them?”

“What do you want to say? I’m busy, just tell me what’s going on.”

Suddenly, Iljin’s face turned red.

“I… perhaps… here… dying… ki-… Hey.”

“Right. This is place is so dangerous that it would not be strange to die right now.”

“So…”

Iljin was shy as he dragged his words. I’m not a bully, so my voice was still calm.

“So what?”

“I want to do it before I die.”

“What do you want to do?”

Iljin twisted his legs.

“You know…”

He was wandering around the hall for the same purpose.

I was instantly irritated. I thought he was a much better person than that gangster. But in the eyes of women, he seems to be a Korean bastard approaching for the same purpose.

“Do not.”

“What? Don’t do what?”

“Don’t talk at all. Do not hurt their feelings.”

Iljin pointed to the hall.

“Aren’t they lonely? Wouldn’t they like to sleep with a man?”

“Yeah, they might be lonely, and they want to do it. But they wouldn’t like you.”

“Who are you ignoring?”

“Let’s say that there is someone who wants to be comforted by a man because he is scared, lonely, and anxious. It could be the last sex in your life, but would you like to sleep with an ugly bully like you?”

I was angry and left him on the road. Iljin was raging, and he went home. Kim Byung-woo was grooming his weapon. I went out again, picked up a large stone, and sharpened a knife. The day was dark due to the curtain.

“Aren’t you hungry?”

“I’m hungry.”

It is difficult to have a conversation with Byung-woo because his answers are always short.

It makes people uncomfortable.

He grumbled into the knife and talked again after 10 minutes.

“Have you ever been here before?”

He raised his head and stared at me. It’s the first time I’ve seen him scared. There were goosebumps on his forearms as if he was naked in the middle of winter.

“Why do you ask me that?”

“I think you know a lot…”

He looked at me blankly and changed the topic.

“Are your arms, okay?”

I sighed with relief.

“What about my arms?”

“You were bitten by a wolf.”

“Oh, that. I’m very sick, but fortunately, I don’t think I have rabies.”

I spoke with my index finger around my temple.

“Because my head was spinning, I was distraught. Scars will remain, but I was lucky.”

“If you don’t have a fever, you will live.”

“Do you have a fever?”

“There are no antibiotics here. When you’re traumatized, you’re more likely to become infected with bacteria and die from diseases like sepsis.

“Ohh.”

I was surprised and looked carefully at the wounds of my body as well as my arms. Fortunately, there were no infected wounds.

While I was in Busan, Kim Byung-woo packed his weapons and went out. I also carried my sword and the dagger.

He stepped into the barrier and posed the question.

“You ate two beads, but there’s still no change?”

Nope.”

It’s confusing.

“Try one more bead.”

He’s saying I should eat one more bead that doesn’t work.

As the sun got higher, more people came out of the house. They gathered together and chatted together.

I listened by hanging around the different groups– the elderly ones, all-women honeycomb group, the young men, the gangsters, and the bullies. Kim Byeong-woo was nicknamed General Admiral Dokbul, but no one dared to say that.

When the sun hit the middle, there were clashes between groups.

Clank-!

Choi Yoo-mi, the queen bee, and Jeong Ho-beon, the acting captain of the house, clashed with violent sounds. Jeong Ho-beong yelled at her.

“Why don’t you join

us?”

“You thought I don’t know what you are doing. I’ll cut that thing if you don’t shut up.”

“You’re so selfish! “

Choi Yoo-mi’s gaze skipped him and headed to Kang Dong-Taek.

“Do not come near my group, bully boss. I warned you.”

Kang Dong-Taek’s voice was on the floor.

“Now, I have 9 days left.”

He threatened Choi Yoo-mi. Suddenly, I felt cold and shrugged.

What will I do after 9 days?

It was expected that the death of the angels would not cause anyone to die, but I was anxious because I don’t know what would happen if I get a fever.

Today was comfortable, though I am hungry, this is not a bad day. I slumped my neck and tumbled down.

Everyone jumped in surprise.

“What!”

I moved around in search of Kim Byung-woo, leaving the voices of people behind. In my experience, his back is the safest.

I thought there were monsters in the bare ground in front of the barrier, but there was nothing.

Was that a wooden fence that collapsed on its own?

Then, a strange sound came out, and monsters jumped out of the forest behind the glade.

Iljin screamed as soon as he saw the monster.

“That’s a Goblin!”

I guess I played too many games. I thought goblins were slow due to their short legs, but they were unexpectedly fast. It seemed to be faster than humans.

There were many goblins. Unlike the monsters that appeared before, they were carrying weapons. Some of them were well-dressed with armor. The people who were frightened by the numbers and weapons of the goblins turned their backs and yelled.

“Don’t run away and fight!”

Goblins came in a second. Just like when hyenas and wolves appeared, Kim Byung-woo received a goblin from the front.

The head of the goblins swelled into the air with a long-edged sword. After that, the goblin came crouched and stretched out and took it back with his shoulders. Then, after cutting another man’s neck, he stepped back and trampled on the fallen man’s neck. The sound of his neck beating horribly.

You shouldn’t miss a thing.

I admired him.

Seo Su-min tried to encourage courage by pointing to Kim Byung-woo.

“Look at that. If we fight together, we win!”

I’m not sure how many people were encouraged by Kim Byung-woo’s big success. He swung his sword at the goblin, hoping to kill many. The blade was dull, so it didn’t cut well, but it was large and heavy, so it had the same effect as a scorpion.

The goblins fell over because their heads were broken.

I took care of one.

I often checked my body as I fought.

Was I a little stronger, faster, more alert, and has better physical strength?

I wanted to find out the effect of the bead I ate.

Unfortunately, nothing has changed. After handling five goblins, I was exhausted, and my arms hurt. Injuries I sustained yesterday also hurt. I avoided the goblin and hid behind Kim Byung-woo.

The goblin was short overall, so it didn’t reach the waist of an adult man, but there was a big one among them. It had a broad torso and tight muscles, so it would not be awkward even if they were called warriors.

The goblin warrior was fierce and courageous, but his colleague attacked Kim Byung-woo without fear. Fortunately, there were only a few such goblin warriors. The majority of small goblins saw the skills of Kim Byung-woo and were scared.

I avoided Byeong-Woo and aimed at the cowards scrambling to the side. It was easy to deal with weak ones.

It seems to me that it was annoying to be flaking from the side. A goblin warrior stared at me and burst into tears.

“Great!”
