Black Hunter - Chapter 25

Troll hunting

Sitting on the, Lee Ok-Hwa pushed some mushrooms.

“Try it.”

The yellow marbles did not only increase my recovery ability. It improved the detoxification ability and became like a mormot who picked edible plants.

I picked up the mushrooms and chewed them. After swallowing, I felt uncomfortable quickly, and soon faded. I was detoxified in a matter of seconds.

“It is poisonous mushrooms. I can not eat it.”

“It looked good, but I’m sorry.”

Lee Ok-Hwa swung the mushrooms and wiped his hands over his pants.

“Are you really going to do troll hunting?”

“Yes.”

“Isn’t it dangerous?”

“It’s dangerous. But to be strong, I have to endure it.”

“Why are you so obsessed with being strong? You can survive at your current state, right?”

“Not enough to go home.”

Hwang Sun-ja intervened.

“What do you know?”

“No. Just a feeling.”

“Presentiment?”

“Kim Byung-Woo’s words keep getting in my mind. Twenty people. Let’s go.”

We crossed the ogre area and headed to the troll area. Stepping in gave me a bit of chills.

“Would you rather catch a monster in the village?”

Lee Ok-Hwa shook his head.

“That’s not allowed.”

“Why?”

“Dongtaekpa and the company will kill you for your stealing.”

“Will they come to the forest to catch me?”

“They hate you, but not enough to get into a dangerous forest and hunt.”

I gave up going to the village and moved on. Setting a trap deep within the forest can be dangerous, so I stayed at the beginning of the area and there I dug. After digging for six hours without straightening my waist, I created a trap for the troll to fall into.

After installing the wooden window I prepared in advance on the floor, I grabbed the string given by Lee Ok-Hwa and went out of the trap. The trap lid was made from lizard shells, branches, and grass, then covered it with soil.

Lee Ok-Hwa spoke while brushing the dirt on her clothes.

“The trolls have a lot of regenerative power, can you catch it like this? If you can spread a fire like Suhyeong-myeong, you can easily catch it.”

Said Hwang Sun-ja.

“It’s only because you’re lucky to be able to decipher after eating a black marble.”

I didn’t say that I was able to recover. I didn’t hide it on purpose, but somehow I kept it a secret.

Uh, then it turned out I wanted revenge. Kim Byung-woo said that revenge ability is impossible. Maybe Kim Byung-woo doesn’t know everything.

To be precise, what he said was, ‘Black marbles do not bring revenge.’ I was revengeful because I took black striped yellow marbles and black marbles together, so I cannot say that he was wrong. But this has lessened my fear of him.

I suddenly felt a strange. When my ears suddenly moved, Lee Ok-Hwa said nervously.

“What did you hear?”

“The troll is chasing something. I climb up the tree.”

While we were together, they took blue and purple beads. So they climbed the tree quickly. After confirming that they already hid in the leaves, I also climbed a tree and hid.

I thought it was an ogre-like monster or a little beast that the trolls were chasing. It also has a face.

Choi Hye-ri was screaming. The fear in her eyes felt terrifyingly vivid.

She shouldn’t have come here!

She was going straight into the trap. People who have taken a lot of trolls or beads will not die of this trap, but Choi Hye-ri is different.

I jumped off the tree, held her, and flew to the side. I wanted the troll to move into the trap by inertia, but I pushed my heel into the ground to change direction.

Choi Hye-ri grabbed my waist and stretched, just like a drowning person would hold on to the person she wanted to save. I threw her over and ran in and tumbled before the trolls were in position.

Puck.

The troll fell into the trap.

“Great.”

The troll shouted.

I have to kill it before it regains strength.

I took out the knife and jumped into the trap. Standing on the troll’s shoulder, I struck the knife against its head, but the skull was too hard to penetrate.

If I had Kim Byung-woo’s sword, it must have entered. The guy has good weapons, and the world is unfair.

I gave up my head and poked my knife deep into the place where the neck and shoulders met. The troll shouted and glowed.

It grabbed my leg and threw me out of the trap. I flew at a terrifying speed, hit my back on the tree, and fell to the ground.

I vomited blood.

“You okay?”

“Yes, I’m okay.”

When my back hit the tree, it was thrilling. I thought my spine was broken. And when I fell to the ground, I thought my intestines would burst. Perhaps it burst, but the recovery ability worked, and I did not die.

I ran into the trap, feeling that resilience made my body healthy again. The troll pulled and threw a knife on my shoulder. I pulled the dagger and jumped back into the trap. Then I stabbed the troll.

“Yaah!”

I felt the dagger go beyond its eyes and dig into its brain. The sensation in my hand was thrilling.

Done!

I was delighted, but the troll’s regeneration was terrifying. The brain was not stabbed enough for it to die. However, its movement was sluggish. Good thing, I didn’t fight the troll before. While holding the dagger, I moved away from the troll’s touch to his shoulder.

“Give me a weapon!”

When Lee Ok-hwa left the village, she threw the ax she brought. The ax hit the nape, and the troll blocked it with the right hand.

Puck.

I kept beating the troll’s hand with the ax. Every time I hit it, the flesh split and the blood splattered, but it quickly regenerated, causing almost no damage. Choi Hyeri came out of nowhere.

“Try it with this.”

I put an ax in the troll’s shoulder, stepped on, and reached out. Choi Hye-ri’s spear was in her hand. At that moment, I twisted my upper body.

At that time, the troll was drawing out the dagger stuck in his eye with his left hand. I ruptured the spear in the other eye. The troll’s scream stung my ear.

“Shut up!”

I screamed and kept pushing the spear until I felt it scratching the inside of the skull. Then the troll’s movement became slower.

I took the dagger pulled by the troll and put it in the eye again. With two weapons in the brain, the great troll could not move, but it’s still alive.

“Die already.”

Hwang Sun-ja threw a string made of lizard shell. I tied it to the troll’s armpits and shoulders tightly and hauled it out of the trap. Then I joined forces with the two grandmothers and pulled the string. The troll was removed out of the trap.

Lee Ok-hwa pulled the axe on the shoulder of the troll and struck its neck like a tree.

Tuk.

The troll’s huge head came off. I pulled the spear out of the troll’s eyes and smirked my head.

“This is Park Min-Ji’s weapon.”

Choi Hye-ri said.

“I received it from Minji.”

“I think they’re close.”

“It’s not that… … .”

Lee Ok-hwa cut his back.

“Why are you here?”

The tone and eyes weren’t beautiful. Choi Hye-ri shrugged her shoulders.

“To live with you.”

She looked pitiful.

“Why should we live with you!?”

Hwang’s voice was also cold. Choi Hye-ri snapped her lips and shrugged her shoulders if she thought this was not the case.

“I wasn’t here to live with my grandmother. I’m Oh Chun-sam … … .”

This time, Lee Ok-hwa cut his back.

“2 years!”

She ripped off Choi’s head.

“Why are you doing this?”

I forcibly removed Lee’s hand. Lee Ok-hwa shook vigorously.

“They are almost here.”

Hwang Sun-ja sad,

“You tried to stick to Kim Byung-woo, and then you played with Su-syeong, and now you’re trying to stick to Chun-sam?”

Choi Hye-ri spit and said.

“I have never played with Seo-Soon.”

Lee Ok-hwa stared at me with a ferocious glance.

“Are you going to accept me?”

“I do not know.”

“You will accept it.”

She said with confidence. I was upset.

“Why do you think so?”

“Because I am beautiful. I’m a lot more beautiful than Minji.”

“It doesn’t matter. Why are you so hostile?”

“Why doesn’t it matter!”

Said Hwang Sun-ja.

“If we don’t give marbles to you, don’t object.”

Lee Ok-hwa put a stop on the words.

“It doesn’t work either. We paid for it.”

“Oh, I did.”

Choi Hyeri raised her hand.

“I can pay the price too.”

Lee Ok-hwa shook up.

“What? With your body?”

Choi Hye-ri shouted out loud.

“You did it with grandmothers, but you don’t want me?”

I sighed.

“Excuse me. There’s a misunderstanding, but it’s not like that.”

“So, why do you live together?”

“We made a deal.”

“Deal?”

“I got a bead.”

“Oh, beads.”

Hwang Sun-ja asked.

“Do you have beads?”

Choi Hye-ri’s expression became dark.

“I’ll get it later and give it to you.”

“Are you capable of hunting alone?”

Choi Hye-ri could not even answer.

“How can you get a marble without hunting?”

I concluded.

“Let’s spend two days together. If you bring the bead, I will either accept you, if not, return to the village.”

I pulled the dagger out of the troll’s eyes before the two women objected, and then plowed. Five beads poured out.

“jackpot!”

Lee Ok-hwa clasped his eyes and twinkled. I laughed.

“I know, right. Choi Hye-ri brought good luck.”

Hwang Seon-ja screamed.

“How could that be?!”
