When Chen Wenjie was on the call, Gu Qingqing happened to walk across her. Out of courtesy, Gu Qingqing gave a nod to her. However, she was shocked as she overheard the distinct voice of Leng Sicheng.
Sounding really listless and tired, it seemed he just finished a long meeting.
“I’m really busy,” said Leng Sicheng.
Though swamped, he still answered Chen Wenjie’s call. If she was the one who had called him, chances were he would not even pick up the call.
“Director Leng…”
Chen Wenjie’s voice became really soft the moment Leng Sicheng picked up her call.
“You must be really tired… perhaps you can get Secretary Chen to massage your shoulders if you are exhausted. I wish I were there to give them to you.”
Standing beside her, Gu Qingqing heard every single word that she said to him. She had never thought that Chen Wenjie could speak in such a demure way. Following right behind Chen Wenjie, she could not hear really make out what Leng Sicheng was saying, but at least, she could hear her clearly.
“I have discussed the advertisement today and signed a new contract prepared by the new company. The shooting should begin really soon. I will try my best to work with them,” Chen Weijie went on.
Seemingly, Chen Wenjie was attempting to impress Leng Sicheng. Still, he did not say a single word. This made her really nervous. Two days ago, Chen Wenjie had gone to Qin Cheng Apartment for the very first time. Everything in the unit was perfect, with the exception that the place was designed for a single man. There was only a cup, a set of cutlery, and a pair of slippers. While Leng Sicheng was distracted, she went into his bedroom, discovering that there was only a set of bedroom accessories.
