Best Delinquent Wife’s Order: Rise Again, Hubby - Chapter 60

Anhao replied as though she had been seriously wronged. After that, she picked up the tissue box on the table and held it in her arms as she pulled out the tissue piece by piece, wiping the tears off her face.

After that, she whimpered as she continued crying, “You are such a big bully! You are forcing me to study and you were the one who arranged for me to have a tutor to coach me in my studies. Now that the tutor is here and I am already studying obediently, you are accusing me of something else! You are really very unfair to me…”

Anhao continued crying as she wiped the tears off her face, and she crumpled the tissue piece by piece before throwing them into the paper basket one by one. However, none of the tissue paper were really soaked in tears.

Zuo Hancheng felt that his head was already hurting because of her fake tears. Therefore, he grabbed the tissue box from her hand before throwing it on the table.

When he saw that her face was really a little pale, he stood up without saying anything else.

Anhao knew that she should not try and provoke him any further. Zuo Hancheng glanced at her once again before he picked up two answer sheets that were placed on the table.

He saw that the answers on the answer sheets were not as bad as it was before where almost all the questions were answered incorrectly. In fact, it seemed as though Anhao had gotten eighty percent of the basic questions correct this time.

Zuo Hancheng did not say anything else and he simply placed the answer sheets back on the table before walking out of the study room.

Anhao finally heaved a huge sigh of relief as soon as she saw him leaving.

Even though she was the one who willingly accepted the tutoring arrangements, she felt frustrated because it seemed as though she was only studying and working so hard because Zuo Hancheng was forcing her to do so.

Anhao tidied up her book and answer sheets before she came out of the study room. She saw Zuo Hancheng sitting on the sofa as he kept rubbing his temples with his hands. It seemed as though he was really having a headache.

No. He would not be having a headache just because of her, right?

Anhao walked toward the sofa in disbelief, and it was only when she was standing close to him that she suddenly smelled the faint scent of alcohol on his body. Therefore, she looked at him in surprise as she asked, “Did you drink?”

That was why Zuo Hancheng could not be bothered to continue arguing with her earlier. If he lost in the argument against her earlier simply because he was drunk, then it meant that she was not as invincible as she thought. At this time, all the excitement that she felt was extinguished in the blink of an eye.

“I had a few drinks with some of the industry partners earlier tonight,” Zuo Hancheng replied softly.

When Anhao saw him rubbing his forehead again, she knew that he was really having a bad headache. Therefore, she instinctively moved closer to him before she sniffed him and said, “You smell like white wine, mixed with several other types of wine. I don’t think you are really drunk. You are probably just feeling dizzy because of the side effects of the alcohol. I guess you can’t avoid drinking during business-related dinners like this since you are the president of a very big and prestigious company, huh?”

Zuo Hancheng put his hands down and glanced at her before he said, “You are still young so there is a lot that you do not understand.”

Anhao was really discontented because he said that she was young. He was not that old anyway. He was only ten years older than she was so what difference did that make anyway? How young could she be to him?

Moreover, Anhao knew that those small companies and those people who were working in government offices would have to be out socializing all the time. Therefore, as a multinational corporation, the president of Shengling Group definitely played a pivotal role in the domestic and international business community. That was the reason why Zuo Hancheng would surely be socializing way more than she could even begin to imagine.

However, Anhao knew that Zuo Hancheng was a very disciplined person and he would only attend any dinner or social gathering if it were the last resort. Zuo Hancheng would turn down many of these socializing events because he knew that his stomach would not be able to handle it.

When Anhao saw that he was having a very bad headache, she stood up before walking away from him immediately.

About ten minutes later, Anhao returned to Zuo Hancheng’s side with a glass of honey water in her hand. After that, she placed the glass of honey water on the coffee table before she said, “Fortunately, there is a small jar of honey in the refrigerator. I forgot where I heard this but I heard that if you drink some honey water after having a drink, it will help to alleviate any side effects of the alcohol. The principle is simply because honey is rich in fructose and this will be absorbed into your stomach so that it can help with your digestion. You must be having a bad headache because of the alcohol. Do you want to try drinking this glass of honey water?”

Zuo Hancheng raised his head as he stared at Anhao.

When she saw that he was not reaching out for the glass, Anhao took the initiative to hand the glass of honey water over to him. “Why don’t you try drinking some of it? Who knows, it might help to relieve your headache. You have nothing to lose by trying it out anyway.”

Zuo Hancheng felt that this was just a homemade remedy that was found on the internet. After all, if it was so easy to relieve a headache that was caused by drinking too much alcohol, then there would be no need for the development of anti-hangover drugs.

However, Zuo Hancheng took the glass of honey water from her without saying anything. He took a sip of the slightly sweet honey water, and his brows softened because of the faint sweetness and pleasant taste of the water.

Gu Anhao was very good at mixing the ratio of the honey and water. The slight sweetness of the honey water did not make him feel nauseous at all. In fact, it was rare for someone like Zuo Hancheng to finish an entire glass of honey water as he did not enjoy sweet stuff at all.

Anhao felt a slight satisfaction when she saw him drinking the whole glass of honey water. After that, she took the glass from his hand before she stared at him and asked, “Is your head still hurting?”

“Do you really think that this is a quick-relieving technique to relieve a headache? Do you think that it would have been so effective?”

“…Alright, then. Would you like another glass of honey water?”

“No,” Zuo Hancheng replied immediately. When he saw her sitting down on the sofa obediently, he suddenly felt a sense of tranquility.

She was obviously a very dishonest girl, but somehow, he felt at peace at the sight of her there. Zuo Hancheng felt that perhaps this had something to do with that glass of honey water. He stood up immediately before he started unbuttoning the buttons on his shirt. He suddenly said, “In future, the tutor can only come over to the house when I am at home. I do not want you to stupidly invite a strange man into the house when you are all alone.”

Anhao coughed as she replied, “I am not so stupid. I already checked his identity before I invited him into the house. Moreover, such a good looking person could never be wicked! He is so gentle and kind, and you don’t need to worry because I believe that he would never do anything to me.”

Zuo Hancheng stopped unbuttoning his shirt for a moment as he turned around to look at her. He smacked his lips tightly together and he was obviously very annoyed at this point. After that, he replied in a sarcastic tone, “You are saying that he is good looking? It is obvious that you have very poor taste in men. You should improve on your taste.”

Anhao rolled her eyes as she answered, “It is already a long established fact that men and women have absolutely different tastes!”

Anhao then picked up the glass on the coffee table as she stood up to leave but Zuo Hancheng suddenly stopped her as he said, “I meant what I just said.”

Anhao turned around and stared at him before she said, “You were the one who wanted me to improve my grades and pass all my subjects in just one month. You are always socializing all the time and you always come home late at night. No one knows your timing for certain. If you are going to come home at around nine at night every day, then does that mean I will have to wait until nine o’clock at night before I can start studying with the help of my tutor?”

Zuo Hancheng looked at Gu Anhao and he knew that even though she was simply trying to provoke him, there were some truth in what she had just said.

“It’s either you stop forcing me to attend tuition classes or stop forcing me to improve my grades! You are the one who asked Mobai to arrange for a tutor for me so I do not understand why you are acting like this right now!”

Zuo Hancheng remained silent for a short while. When Anhao thought that Zuo Hancheng had already realized his mistake, she turned around and started walking away in an arrogant manner.

“Starting from tomorrow, you will head directly to Shengling Group after school. You can have your tuition classes in my office.”
