Best Actor Wants To Stay With Me - Chapter 14

Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios

Bo Yan’s shoot went all the way till four in the afternoon.

He was shooting for a movie, which was different from a drama show. Every angle needed a lot of camerawork, editing, and reshooting before the shot could be finalized. Even though the reshooting was only for a few simple scenes, they had to be reshot a few times.

During Bo Yan’s filming, Xia Siyu sat by the side, behind the crew. She made the film crew members set up a sling chair, a patio umbrella, and a tiny table. They had even placed a coconut on her table. She lay back on the sling chair and rested her legs, enjoyably waiting for the end of shooting.

Seeing her hang around, the crew members were rather amused. However, Xia Siyu did not care. She continued to drink from her coconut. As long as she did not disrupt the filming progress, she could do whatever she wanted.

After speaking to her, Bo Yan had ignored her and walked straight into the courtyard. Wei Jingjing had tried with all her might to prevent Xia Siyu from landing herself into a serious hot soup. Yet, Xia Siyu was here watching the shoot.

Bo Yan’s character was from the late 19th to early 20th-century era. Although Xia Siyu had not seen the script, she could tell that Bo Yan’s character was an elegant man who knew martial arts. The shooting had many cultured scenes with difficult phrases. Yet, Bo Yan managed to say his lines from one camera angle to the next without any hiccups. His tone was stable, and his speed was just right.

Bo Yan used to be a university lecturer, and he had a Ph.D. in literature and arts. His cultural knowledge and speech ability were exceptional. Moreover, he was born into the Bo Family, so he had learned martial arts as a young boy so that his safety could be ensured. That training was still here in him, and it produced an outstanding fighting scene.

Xia Siyu initially watched the shoot with a frivolous attitude. However, as she continued to watch, her posture gradually straightened. She sat up, and the expression in her eyes changed from boredom and mockery to that of seriousness.

She was watching a show. More specifically, she was watching Bo Yan acting.

Even though Xia Siyu was embroiled in many rumors and had a fiery temper, she was an actress in the end.

The scene depicted a provocative opponent. Bo Yan sat in front of the window, casually doing calligraphy with one hand while using the other to fight his opponent. She had acted in a similar scene before, but Bo Yan’s performance…

He was not an ‘explosive’ actor’ who relied on exaggerated expressions, actions, or even speech and tone to express the character’s thoughts. His acting was more introverted, and his actions were relaxed. He could easily convey the character’s emotions through the raising of his eye or the waving of his hand.

The next scene was one where he had successfully defeated the opponent. He was still tense, but at the next moment, he lowered his head and saw a bamboo-made dragonfly on the table. His fingers gently brushed it, and his expression became complicated instantly.

It was just an expression in his eyes, but one could see that there was a story behind the bamboo-made dragonfly.

At last, he looked at her.

Xia Siyu did not know if that was because the camera happened to be between them or if he was trying to find the right angle for the lighting.

Whatever it was, he was facing her.

He looked at her, and his eyes lifted. His amber iris reflected many emotions.

Sadness, longing, anticipation, and regret.

At that moment, it was unknown whether he was looking at the female lead in the movie or her.
