Being With You Forever by Accident - Chapter 6

Luo Yibei stared at her with a poker face, watching her as she flipped over the railing with unexpected dexterity. The girl kept inhaling deep breaths, taking it in as if it may be her last. Her grip was unsteady, fingertips spread and grasped around the smooth surface of the railing.

Even as her hand loosened its grip and slipped, nothing moved in his black eyes that were as calm as the dead sea.

His demeanor maintained itself to the moment when a bright shine sparkled, just as Fang Chixia’s body was about to fall off the railing and something around her neck swayed together with her actions…

It was an exceptionally unique glimmer, the interweaving of black and white, the perfect balance as if it was the interchanging of day and night. It sparkled so brightly that it seemed as if it had encompassed the entire starry sky!

Luo Yibei froze for a moment before his body moved over to her with the speed of a cheetah. Right in time, he hastily grabbed her hand just as her body was about to fall.

Fang Chixia’s entire body was hanging over the railing. She didn’t expect him to suddenly do what he did and she looked up stiffly, her gaze filled with surprise and shock as she stared at him.

Luo Yibei was standing behind the railing with a hand holding onto hers. Somehow, he didn’t look like he was struggling with the weight, his face still void of any emotions.

“Name!” His gaze was fixated on her neck as he showed no intention to pull her up immediately.

There was a necklace around Fang Chixia’s neck. Its design was rather simple, the chain a simple black rope while the charm hanging around it was a ring.

It was a really pretty ring, though it looked like it was styled to be a man’s ring. Between the two rings of small and rare black diamonds was a thin round of white diamonds. Even at a glance, one could see that they were pure and void of any impurities. Together with their excellent cut, it was clear that the ring was worth quite a bit.

Fang Chixia froze again from his stare, not understanding what was going on.

Was her name necessary for him to save her?

“Name!” The man barked out again. She didn’t know if Luo Yibei had done it on purpose, but his grip on her hand loosened a little.

“No!” Fang Chixia’s expression changed instantly as both her hands hastily reached to grab his hand as if he was her life-savior. “Pull me up first!”

She had only chosen to jump down earlier because there was no other choice for her. Now that it finally seemed as if he would help her, she would be a fool if she didn’t grab this chance as tightly as possible.

“I don’t have much patience!” It was clear that Luo Yibei left no room for others to negotiate with him. He pulled one of her hands away from his hand as his hold on her other wrist loosened once more.

Fang Chixia was so scared that her heart tightened instantly and her name fell out of her mouth instantly.

“Chixia, Fang Chixia!”

Granting a city pond to wish for you to bloom in summer forever1… It was a name as beautiful as a poem.

Luo Yibei silently repeated her name as his cold and tense facial features unconsciously seemed to soften a little.

Fang Chixia…

Meanwhile, Fang Chixia was still hanging over the railing and it didn’t feel good at all.

She waited for a while, yet he still hadn’t pulled her up. Her wrist in his hand wriggled a little, as she tried to save herself with whatever little she could do. Suddenly, Luo Yibei’s grip on her wrist tightened…

Fang Chixia’s body flew up like a kite whose string had been cut, and he used the chance to pull her onto the balcony. Her body fell into his arms as her body weight pushed him down towards the floor.

Still dazed from what had happened, Fang Chixia remained sprawled on him as she panted dizzily.

The effects of the drug within her were still present. With her emotional turmoil earlier, her breathing started to lose its rhythm and her heart was beating erratically.

Her scorching breath sprayed at Luo Yibei’s neck faintly. It was itchy and numbing, causing the man, who did not react first, to feel a rush of warmth head straight towards his abdomen.

There was a very nice scent on her, laced with a slight floral hue. He couldn’t tell what type of flower it was, but it was very, very faint.

It wasn’t a type of man-made scent. Instead, it seemed more like it was completely natural and fragrant…
