Luo Yibei stared at the ring for a long while, only to suddenly and unexpectedly try it on.

When he went downstairs, Fang Chixia was painting the garden’s fence with her back facing him. Dressed in a plain t-shirt, she wore a hairband with a butterfly knot tied on it. She was humming happily as she painted the fence, “I’m a painter that specializes in painting… Paint, paint, paint…”
Ever since she’d arrived here, her mood seemed to always be sunny and bright. Even when she was alone, she was able to make noises like this anytime she wanted too.
Luo Yibei glanced at her again and again, ridicule filling his eyes.

“Go and prepare dinner!” Taking a few steps forward, he snatched the brush in her hand without any expression.

He glanced at it calmly, not even bothering to hide his disinterest as he said coldly, “If you don’t go to the kitchen within the next three seconds, we can go to the bathroom instead!”
Tsk, was this man a beast? How could he just say it so easily like he wanted to be an animal!
Fang Chixia didn’t take his words to heart, though she still obliged and went to the kitchen.
Just as she was taking some ingredients out from the refrigerator, she was deciding what to cook when the phone in the living room suddenly rang.
This was Luo Yibei’s house, so Fang Chixia didn’t intend to bother with it. She felt that he would answer it when he heard it. However, who knew that she still couldn’t hear his voice in the living room after the phone rang for a long time.
Afraid that it was something important, Fang Chixia hurried over to the phone and answered the call. “Hello, who is this?”
The other person seemed to freeze for a moment after hearing her voice as if suspecting that they had heard wrongly.
