The Fu Yi Tower mentioned by the Red Ghost was located at the Long Jin Avenue as well. It was a magnificent dark green building.

As they were heading up in the lift, the Red Ghost kindly gave Li Yan a heads-up.

“Those who come in here for the boxing matches are rich men. It’s not unusual for them to spend thousands of dollars per night, and you, as a boxer, are eligible for some bonuses here. If you really want to earn money here, you have to be backed up by a rich dude. I’ll be contacting one of them for you. Just don’t say anything wrong.”

The lift stopped, and as soon as the lift door opened, Li Yan lifted his brows.

The floors higher than the tenth floor were spacious, and the huge room was about thirty meters high. There were four stories of stands decorated by sixteen lanterns with tassels. The wooden staircases were decorated nicely with red carpet, and the boxing ring in the center was supported by columns of white jade.

It was classic and ancient. The waitresses serving drinks for the guests wore tuxedos.

Four huge TVs, each two meters high, faced towards the stands so that all of the guests could see the boxers from all angles.

“How is it? This is grand, right? You’re not in luck today…you’ll see all the sexy ladies in bunny skirts some other time.”

As Red Ghost chatted with Li Yan, a waitress approached them.

“Hello, Mr Red Ghost, Mrs. Deng wants to meet you.”

He rubbed his face and said to Li Yan,

“Here comes a rich lady.”

He brought Li Yan up the escalator and entered a private compartment.

Li Yan didn’t understand why a lady would be a fan of such bloody and violent scenes. He concluded that there were strange people everywhere in the world.

They entered the balcony.

They opened the door to see brown glass shattered all over the floor reflecting the colourful lights. There were all sorts of wines and desserts on the tea table of which Li Yan couldn’t even recognize the brands.

A lady in her thirties was sitting idly on the sofa. She had beautifully wavy hair, long legs, and a skinny waist. Her enchanting slanted eyes matched well with her deep dimples. The corners of her mouth were lifted and made her look fierce.

“I asked you to bring Ah Hong here, and you can’t even complete such a simple task! How could he not make an appearance in the Fu Yi tower?”

“Miss Judy, Red Ghost really went out.”

The waitress looked sullen. Someone else began cleaning the glass pieces on the floor.

“Bullshit, I’m back.”

Red Ghost spoke immediately upon his entrance.

“Get out. All of you.”

The waitresses felt relieved. Li Yan looked back and forth between the lady and Red Ghost. He wanted to leave the room as well, but he stopped after seeing Red Ghost’s stare.

“Judy, don’t get angry over small things! It will give you wrinkles.”

Red Ghost sat beside Judy with two glasses of wine.

The lady received the wine, lifting her chin to show her dissatisfaction,

“Ah, you bad boy, you’ve finally come to me. You were missing for the entire night. What could you possibly have been doing? Are you purposely avoiding me?”

“Of course not, I was just looking after my new recruits.”

Red Ghost sounded innocent. His baby face definitely won over the lady.

“Ah Yan, come here.”

Li Yan reluctantly walked to them and smiled at the lady.

“Miss Judy.”

Judy judged Li Yan from head to toe.

His jawline and cheekbones were very defined. He had a cleft chin, knife-shaped eyebrows, and a pair of deep eyes.

Judy took a sip of the golden wine, which made her lips look even more red.

“He is indeed a handsome guy, but I’m not sure about his boxing abilities. I personally prefer good-looking boxers, but if he can’t even survive the first few rounds…I will be ashamed to have bet on him. That bastard He Changhong mocked me for supporting a useless boxer…”

Her eyes suddenly brightened up as she said this.

“How about you fight for me? I will support you no matter the price!”

“Sure,” Red Ghost nodded his head and finished the wine. Then he continued,

“However, we do have to provide some chances for the new recruits. How about this: if Ah Yan loses the battle, I will go down there and kick their asses for you.”

Judy smiled sweetly.

“That’s a deal.” She then faced Li Yan, “Little brother, please hang in there longer.”

Li Yan looked down and smiled,

“Miss Judy, please stop making fun of me. Red Ghost is my boss. I’d rather jump into the sea and kill myself than let my boss go down there and fight for me.”

The lady laughed even more, “Sure. If you can fight, I will surely treat you well.”

Li Yan’s temple was twitching but he covered it well with his smile.

“Don’t say that I don’t take care of you well. Judy is one of the richest people in Kowloon City. Her former husband who passed away was deemed the Justice of the Peace, and she inherited billions of dollars from him. She can spend seven to eight hundreds of dollars on wines per night. You have to rely on her to be famous in the circle and get rich.”

Li Yan rubbed his face like Red Ghost, groaned, and asked, “Then what do you want me to do?”

Red Ghost patted Li Yan’s shoulder.

“Win the match tonight and produce a good show. I, the Red Ghost, have not been recruiting for long. Don’t let me down.”

“Of course I’ll win the match. As long as you don’t command me to sell my charms, I can do anything for you.”

Red Ghost smiled, showing his dimples. “Go out and shine.”

Li Yan went up to the boxing ring and took a glance at the audience members who were about to bet on the match. His eyes landed on Judy looking down through the windows of her private compartment.

She was holding up a cup of wine, showing her fine wrist. She raised her eyebrows at Li Yan.

“She inherited billions of dollars. Three million should be a piece of cake to her.”

As the cheering got louder, Li Yan finally turned around to look at his last opponent of the day.

He was about thirty years old. His face was full and yellow. He looked indifferent in his black uniform.

This man’s name was Kido Minami, and he was wanted by the Japanese government. He once raped and killed seven young girls in Hokkaido, the last one barely fourteen. Though he had dismembered her brutally, he didn’t expect her to be the daughter of a famous Yakuza, Inagawa-Kai. He was hunted down by him and eventually fled to Kowloon City. Kido Minami would definitely be killed once he stepped out of the Kowloon area.

Kido Minami was talented in the use of firearms and daggers. He was also well-trained in Goju-Ryu Karate. Before meeting Li Yan, he had already won three matches in a row. The less severe consequences his opponents included losing arms, cracking a kidney, and fainting on stage.

As soon as he dropped his white towel, Li Yan dashed to him. His right hand jabbed at Kido Minami’s defending arm while his left one went straight to his neck. Li Yan seemed very frustrated.

While everyone was still surprised that this unfamiliar boxer had actually dared to initiate an attack on Kido Minami, Red Ghost noticed Li Yan moved half a step forward.

Kido Minami twisted his waist to dodge Li Yan’s punch. At the same time, his right arm straightened to aim for Li Yan’s upper arm.

Kido Minami smiled as soon as he made contact with Li Yan’s shoulder. He didn’t expect this young man to be so vulnerable, but he wouldn’t stop his moves. Four of his fingers hooked on Li Yan’s scapula and his thumb aimed to carve in.

Much of the audience sighed when they saw Kido Minami touch Li Yan’s shoulder.

For the past three matches, no matter the progress, once Kido Minami managed to get close to his opponent’s shoulder and dislocate it, the matches were over soon.

However, Li Yan, who appeared to be captured earlier, unexpectedly lifted his right leg. Utilising his forward left foot as a pivot, his right foot kicked forcefully at Kido Minami’s jawbone. This caused him to lean back and spit out blood with his right arm loosened.

Li Yan seized the chance to capture Kido Minami’s wrist as he was swaying by stepping forward. His eyes showed his piercing coldness towards his opponent.

“Goju-Ryu Karate Karate originated from the Singing Crane Style of Yongchun County. Meet your master today.”
