Li Yan blocked Zhang Mingyuan’s fist with his left hand as his sword swept across Zhang Mingyuan’s shoulder. The power of the spear was evident as Zhang Mingyuan rotated his wrist slightly and the sharp blade slit across Li Yan’s face, leaving an inch-deep wound.

Li Yan remained indifferent about the injury as he jabbed his fingers into Zhang Mingyuan’s wrist, the end of the sword prodding his armpit. Zhang Mingyuan quickly jumped back to distance himself from Li Yan, avoiding the attack even though he was unable to hold on to his spear.

The injured Li Yan could care less. He swiftly kicked the spear out of the ring and regarded Zhang Mingyuan coldly.

Zhang Mingyuan’s right wrist was bruised and his leg and neck were bleeding. Disarmed and pathetic, he still seemed fired up and unable to accept defeat.

In the booth, He Changhong was gloomy. He still believed the things he had said to Judy earlier, but now it seemed that Wuerlang wasn’t King of Hell’s competition at all. He was fine losing his bet, and he could care less about Zhang Mingyuan’s life, but the fact that he had embarrassed himself in front of Judy was intolerable.

Li Yan charged forward in a crouching position as his sword aimed for Zhang Mingyuan’s legs!

Zhang Mingyuan jumped and avoided Li Yan’s attack, then attempted to step on Li Yan’s right palm as he landed. Li Yan raised his hand slightly and sent his sword flying through the air. This forced Zhang Mingyuan to abort his original plan, flip over, and land on the ground. Before he could get up again, the sword was already coming for his head, which he barely avoided as it cut through his right shoulder.

Everyone watching could tell that it was a lost cause for Zhang Mingyuan. Without his weapon, he was no competition. He now had to face Li Yan’s fierce sword-fighting, which felt like a crashing wave engulfing him.

Though his shoulder was injured, Zhang Mingyuan did not back down but went straight for Li Yan before he could attack again.

“Die!”

Even if Li Yan disarmed himself at this point, the heavily injured Zhang Mingyuan was no match for him. And plus, Li Yan was not at risk for being disarmed. Li Yan flicked his wrist as the sword stabbed right into Zhang Mingyuan’s kneecap.

Zhang Mingyuan stared wide-eyed. This was the deciding moment of today’s fight. He locked his heel on Li Yan’s sword and flipped over with a kick so strong it sent Li Yan to his knees.

The Flower Beneath the Leaves Kick!

Suddenly, the red glow of Zhang Mingyuan darkened to black.

Li Yan recalled the series of question marks that had appeared in the “Strong Impression.”

Zhang Mingyuan lifted his bloody chin to reveal a pair of fired-up eyes, a strong body, and a strange beastly howl.

The Classic of the Mountains and Seas quoted, “An enlightened, beast-like, giant tiger species come from the east of Kunlun.”

Li Yan crouched over then fell back as blood trickled from the corner of his lips. He heard a strange tiger-like growl, and it felt like a wooden staff had just been stabbed straight through his brain.

“Ouch!” Li Yan was unable to hold back a groan even with the level of determination he had. This kind of soul-breaking pain was much more than a normal person could handle.

“You have faced the Force of the Enlightened Beast!”

“You have received some messages. To view them you will need to use Yanfu points. Would you like to open them?”

“Yes!”

The Force of the Kaiming Tiger could be felt in every movement. Every attack could burn the soul of the opponent, and the force could also be imprinted on any weapon. The effect of distance would reduce efficiency by 30%.

Li Yan let go of the sword in pain as Zhang Mingyuan struck his shoulder with a kick so strong that blood flew from his injured leg.

Li Yan’s felt as if his right arm was struck by lightning as he rolled away to distance himself. His shoulder was burning with a pain that shook Li Yan’s determination.

His fingers trembled as his right arm hung weakly from his shoulder.

Zhang Mingyuan was so tense his eyes were bloodshot as he charged at Li Yan, sword in hand.

The tables had turned!

Li Yan was calm, almost like his right arm that had just been broken didn’t belong to him. He mumbled under his breath, “The Force of the Kaiming Tiger can only be felt if you can actually hit me.”

The sword had almost reached Li Yan when he rotated his body slightly to the right. He somehow was able to get close enough to Zhang Mingyuan before unleashing a strong punch toward his chest.

Zhang Mingyuan was completely taken aback, knowing that he was not proficient with the sword. Plus, the handle of this sword was much longer than regular ones, and he had never been able to handle such weapons properly. However, it was too late for regrets. He tried to attack Li Yan with a feeble kick as Li Yan’s right leg snaked up against his and struck his shin bone strongly. This was a prime skill, the Chansi Kick!

At the same time, Li Yan’s fist hit Zhang Mingyuan’s chest so hard that blood spilled from his mouth. He clamped onto his shoulders with his fingers and retrieved his sword from Zhang Mingyuan while forcing him down to the ground.

There was some dried blood at the corner of Zhang Mingyuan’s lips as he watched Li Yan press him to the ground emotionlessly.

“Who is Zhang Daojing to you?” Li Yan rasped out, as the Force of the Kaiming Tiger had hurt his throat.

Zhang Mingyuan coughed up some blood as he unwillingly answered, “She’s my sister.”

Li Yan was silent for a moment, and a drop of blood dripped onto the sword laid on Zhang Mingyuan’s neck.

“You wrecked my right arm. I should kill you for that,” threatened Li Yan as his voice remained raspy and emotionless. He threw his sword aside, then grabbed Zhang Mingyuan by his collar and threw him out of the ring.

Zhang Mingyuan crashed onto the dusty ground as he yelled, “How did you know about the Chansi Kick from?”

Li Yan stood, holding onto his right arm as he exited the ring. He gritted his teeth in pain as he retorted, “Go back and ask your sister!”

In the booth, Red Ghost sighed heavily as Li Yan finally won the match, watching him shove his sword back into the sheath. He seemed to be physically fine which was the best outcome he could have expected from this. He looked over at Judy, whose face was flushed red.

“Red Ghost, could you leave me for a moment? Close the door when you go.”
