“Brother, I’m sorry. I don’t want to do this either.”

Li Yan pressed his lips tightly, and remained silent.

He Andong was gripping his Type 54 Pistol firmly, attesting to his training and experience.

Li Yan could see that the red glow around He Andong had become so dense it was almost dark purple.

He pointed the gun at Li Yan’s chest. Judging from the fact that he was an infamous and experienced thief, there was hardly any chance of fighting back.

“Killing me right now would be pointless.”

“Turn around.”

Li Yan took a deep breath and gritted his teeth in anger. He didn’t hesitate before turning his head.

He Andong didn’t notice that Li Yan’s eyes darkened as he turned around.

“You have obtained some information. Do you want to spend one Yanfu point to check it?”

“Yes.” Li Yan felt a slight chill in his head.

“You have chosen to acquire the information. No further notifications will be sent when the target’s weaknesses are identified. Yanfu points will be deducted right away.”

“Target locked: He Andong. You can unlock this at any time.”

“We apologize that the opponent’s weaknesses were not identified. If you keep him targeted, the chances of identifying his weaknesses will increase.”

“You have obtained the following information:

Name: He Andong

Status: Tired, lightly wounded.

Advantages: Gun 39%/100%

Skills:

1. Well trained and well-rounded in combat.

2. Committed innumerable murders: 87/100 (Not identified.)

Threat level: Dark red

Comment: We do not support any fights against thermal weapons. However, you do stand a chance facing any opponents of a threat level below black.”

Did he just pay ten thousand Hong Kong dollars for this useless piece of information? Li Yan was incredulous and felt like flipping off that fat Mo Tapir.

However, Mo Tapir himself deemed such a skill just as important as the ES series medications and therefore would allow Li Yan to purchase them if need be. That was undeniable!

As he turned his head, Li Yan noticed that He Andong seemed to stand out from the rest of the world. Every single muscle contraction and breath appeared detailed. Li Yan could even see the slightly deformed index finger skin when he held the trigger. It seemed surreal to Li Yan.

If He Andong did pull his gun out, Li Yan was confident he could take him down in eight steps.

However, the special sensing function disappeared after Li Yan turned around. All he could feel was that gun pointing at his back. Li Yan believed without a single doubt that He Andong would pull the trigger without hesitation if he misbehaved. The bullet would go through his pulmonary lobes and end his life quickly. All of those Eight Trigram Fist and Singing Crane Attacks and 81% high ancient Wushu talents would be useless.

“Walk when I tell you to,” He Andong whispered to Li Yan.

“If I were you, I wouldn’t go back in there and spread those words. Get out of here and use me as a cover before the Special Forces Unit arrives. That’s the only way to survive,” Li Yan tried to persuade him.

He Andong kept quiet for a while before answering, “I was the one who brought them here, and I’m responsible for sending them back.”

Li Yan squinted as he tried evaluating the situation.

“Move!”

He Andong pushed Li Yan downstairs and walked around in the maze. Most of the sidewalks in Kowloon City only allowed a single person to pass at a time, not to mention the tight corridors of the small condo. After a while, they finally reached his room.

“Knock on the door,” He Andong said in a soft voice.

Li Yan did as he said and slammed against the grating door. An old man with deep eye sockets wearing a white coat opened the door a crack and regarded Li Yan.

“Who are you looking for?”

“Uncle Wen, it’s me,” He Andong peeked his head out from behind Li Yan.

“Dong? Why are you…”

“Uncle Wen, let us in first. I’ll explain later.”

Uncle Wen bit his lips lightly. He eventually nodded his head and unlocked the chain at the door knob.

He Andong pushed Li Yan in. This seemed to be a private clinic with two rooms. The smell of disinfectant was so strong that even the fishy smell in the apartment was gone.

There was a man groaning in bed in the inner room. He was wrapped in bandages and the tray next to him was filled with seven or eight bullets.

Aside from him, there were also two grieving men in the room. One was taking care of the injured man and the other was smoking in a chair.

“Dong.”

“Dong.”

Both the caretaker and the smoker stood up and greeted He Andong as he entered the room.

He Andong pushed Li Yan towards the guy who stood up, his hand gun still pointed at him.

“Gao Cheng, tie him up. Be careful, he’s trained.”

It seemed that Li Yan’s situation had just worsened. But he was relieved, because at least this was much safer than being the hostage of He Andong if he decided to force his way out.

The police here were not the modern mainland police who valued people’s lives. He would never expect the Hong Kong police to protect him under such circumstances.

He wouldn’t think of himself as being a reason to hesitate if the police wanted to capture He Andong. He might die together with this criminal. But whether or not that was to happen, Li Yan didn’t want to gamble with his life.

He had to rely on himself to survive.

“Ah Dong, didn’t we already have a deal? Why did you bring another man?”complained Uncle Wen.

He Andong smiled at the old man.

“I am sorry, Uncle Wen. Please take the extra forty thousand dollars in my bag on top of the previous twenty thousand dollars. We might need to trouble you for a while. Please take good care of my injured brother.”

The old man seemed happy about the money, “You are always welcome, Dong. We are friends. Of course I will help you when you need me.”

He turned around to get something from the drawer. At this moment, He Andong unleashed his fury and shot at his head. Uncle Wen’s brains scattered in all directions. Some of his blood splashed onto Li Yan’s face.

Li Yan contracted his face, trying to block out the disgusting sight of blood. He was shocked at Dong’s mercilessness.

Although Red Ghost didn’t say clearly on the phone how the police had found them so quickly, this old man remained the biggest suspect. And now he wouldn’t have the chance to prove them wrong even if he was innocent…

“Brother Dong, why did you…”

The man sitting next to the bed was shocked and stood up.

He dropped his hand and said, “He sold us out. The police will arrive soon. We have to get out of here now.”

“What!”

Two men’s faces turned white and the one next to the bed fell on his chair, looking hopeless.

Kowloon was extremely crowded and tight. If they were blocked by the police, there would be no way to run!

“How about Xiao Jin?”

Gao Cheng responded faster, but his question made everyone silent.

“Brother, Brother Dong…”

Jin’s lips shivered and called He Andong out.

He Andong ran to the bed and held his hand, looking determined.

“Jin, do you trust me?”

“Brother, Brother Dong…”

“Do you trust me?!” He Andong shouted.

“I do…”

“Listen, here in Hong Kong, you won’t be sentenced to death unless you’re a pirate. You stay here. The police will send you to the hospital. Wait for me. As long as I’m alive, I’ll break into the jail and rescue you…”

Jin opened his mouth widely and his face turned white.

“No!” The man in bed suddenly raised his head.
