Happiness was short-lived and the banquet ended just like that.
As night fell, everyone entered their dreams. The island was peaceful and quiet.
A new day arrived once the sun gradually rose up into the sky above. The first rays of sunlight hit the island, but Lei Xiu and the mermaids had already arisen and were keeping busy with the day’s work.

“Yes, Island Master!” All the mermaids standing before him had fervent looks in their eyes. Yesterday’s happenings were proof that it was indeed possible.
Lei Xiu requested for Mo Nian to remain while dismissing the rest of the mermaids to their posts.
“Mo Nian! Send a few people to continue searching for more mermaids elsewhere and invite them to stay with us,” Lei Xiu said, gazing at Mo Nian.
“Yes, Island Master!” Mo Nian took her leave and immediately set out together with more than ten mermaids, six of whom were armed with decent weapons.
Lei Xiu had a plan to give a proper restoration to Mermaid Island. To do this, he had to increase its attributes!

“Wow! That’s amazing!” the mermaids in the water exclaimed as they heard the sound of the constructions going on not too far away. As the construction was done by the system, the mermaids could only hear the sounds of the building process, and not see it. This made them even more curious.

They quickly arrived and stood before Lei Xiu.
“Lei Xiu Island Master! We are willing to become residents of the island and firmly protect the island with you,” said a mermaid with long, curly red hair. She was the leader of this new school of mermaids, and was known as Mo Wen.
The new mermaids had never seen an island that was so suitable for them to live on. Their home had already been invaded, so without any hesitation, they chose to live here after confirming that Lei Xiu meant them no harm!
“Very good! If that’s the case, you can start by taking an oath!” Lei Xiu said excitedly.
Following that, the oath was taken according to tradition. With that, fourteen new mermaids became the new residents of Mermaid Island!
Lei Xiu sent Mo Nian to introduce the mermaids to their new surroundings and familiarize themselves, while he waited.
Soon, another hour passed.

Lei Xiu retrieved 30 sets of newly forged bronze weapons from his storage space, all consisting of spears and shields. He immediately summoned Mo Nian over and requested her to distribute the weapons to mermaids whom she thought were suitable.
Following which, Lei Xiu spent another 500 gold coins to build ten observation platforms in a way that all directions around the island could be observed. This way, he would be able to clearly see all that was happening around Mermaid Island and prevent enemies from sneaking in silently.
