Auto Hunting As A Clone - Chapter 3

Chapter 3 – Automated Clone (1):

TL: Kyuie and Yuidren

PR: Swara

[TN: Changed speed to agility and endurance to stamina (will change previous chapters for consistency)]

“Huff… Huff… Huff…”

One man, possibly a pig depending on how you looked at him, was “running” with heavy steps through a park.

The fat man was running in a training outfit that looked like it didnt allow for air to ventilate in and out of the outfit.

He was sweating so profusely that it looked like he was drenched, while his red cheeks looked ready to explode.

“Oh the fatty is running today too.”

“Look at that man. He is running, but he’s so slow. Lol”

“You could probably go faster than him by walking.”

Everyone who saw him pass by were talking in whispers amongst themselves.

But also, some of the older ladies who saw him were proud of him, they also gave him some drinks.

“That young one is diligently dieting and training. Eat this and get some energy.”

“…”

And the pig man, no, the first clone passed by without saying anything.

“…he is an ill-mannered young man.”

He ignored the embarrassed old lady with the frown on her face, and that is how the first clone continued to spend his day, silently, running around the park.

For the first time in a while, Sangwoo went on the scale.

[83kg] [182.9 lb]

These days he ate more than usual, around the same amount as two people, but he had lost 7kg in less than a week, starting from 90kg and ending as 83kg.

‘I’m changing.’

I’ve done nothing, yet I’m feeling better every day. I also think I’ve grown a little taller.

[Health increased by 0.001]

[Stamina increased by 0.001]

[Agility increased by 0.001]

He was definitely growing.

‘Wow… crazy.’

Sangwoo kept admiring and marveling at his cloning ability. It may not be a skill that made him superhumanly strong that other awakeners may have awakened, but the one he received made him thoroughly content and happy. [TN: Pft, he’s the one with the op skill]

He had heard from someone that the skill you awaken is the one you would normally hope for or expect

I guess that’s true.

Sangwoo thought to himself that he would be the only one who would grow stronger by doing absolutely nothing.

Of course, Sangwoo wasn’t doing nothing.

Since he had researched a lot on clones.

To sum up what he found out:

1. Pain or damage suffered by the clone will not be transmitted to me.

2. The clone will be unsummoned if it suffers damage beyond its limits or exhausts all its energy.

3. Every time I grow, the clone grows.

4. Even if I am far away, I can command it just by thinking

5. It is impossible for the clone to use the cloning ability

The first point was found out by ordering No. 1 to exercise (Sangwoo gave his first clone the name No. 1), and found the second point out through having the clone sprint through the park, and in the fifth hour he discovered that No. 1 was recalled.

Clone No. 1 died from the lack of health and physical strength.

Thankfully, the skill cooldown (24 hours) goes down even when the clone is summoned, so Sangwoo could summon the clone back immediately.

The third point was concluded by seeing that the movement and appearance of No. 1 gradually improved like himself.

The fourth point was found when Sangwoo was at home and commanded No. 1 to “start pushups” while it was at the park. Afterwards, he went to the park to confirm and saw the clone that was running in the park, doing push-ups instead.

‘Of course, it would make no sense that the clone could use the cloning ability since then I would be able to multiply infinitely.’

‘Status Window.’

I was able to increase my stats quite a bit over the past two weeks, I increased strength by 0.007, agility by 0.005, health by 0.0016, and stamina by 0.011.

Because of the number of 0s behind the decimal point, the increase seemed low, but Sangwoo checked ‘Hunter Wiki’ on the internet and discovered that it wasn’t by any means, small.

───────────────

<What are the stats?>

A stat is a numerical figure of a person’s abilities.

The limit an adult human can reach for their stats are 1. If the value of the stat reaches 1, that indicates that you have reached the limits of an adult man’s ability. (i.e. Strength: 1)

Even by doing simple exercises each day, it is usually difficult to increase the value of a stat by 0.001 per day.

1. Strength: It is the strength which we already know of, it is related to physical strength.

2. Agility: It is related with movement. The higher the agility stat is, the faster and sharper a person can perform movements

3. Health: The energy needed to move and maintain your body. It is directly related to life.

4. Stamina: It is about how long you can move your body. It uses the health (energy) remaining in your body efficiently.

5. Magic: The ability to utilize mana. Increases the power of skills that use mana.

6. Intelligence: Usage of the brain in activities such as learning and memory.

The six above are the typical stats obtained by those who have awakened, called general stats. Most awakeners open with only a portion of the general stats. Rarely some awakeners occasionally open all their normal stats or even open special stats. Regeneration, resistance, vitality, mental strength, etc. are among the special stats. These special stats are more specific than the general stats, but instead they are more often unique and powerful. Most of the acquisition methods for special stats are unknown, but there are some publicly available special stat acquisition methods.

Stats can be grown through training, and can also be grown in dungeons, by items, and by skills. However, increasing the stat through simple exercises is very difficult except for the initial part of it. This is especially true for the magic stat which does not grow from simple exercises. Since E-Class Hunters have all their stats around 1, and so to reach that level it is better to go to dungeons to increase your stats.

Besides the top hunters, most hunters rely on firearms so its better to improve agility, health, and stamina rather than strength.

If you started with a good skill at the start, you should focus on the main stats based on your skill tendencies/ability that determine your position, such as tankers, supporters, magic dealers, etc.

───────────────

It was something like this.

In other words, it was difficult to increase the average stat by 0.001 per day, so to Sangwoo who had a stat increase of 0.039 over two weeks, it showed his ridiculous growth speed.

Sangwoo thought his growth was tremendous because his clone was constantly training, and he always pushed himself to the limit because the clone always carried out his commands.

‘What if I, just like my clone, exercised. Will I raise my stats by 0.78 then?’

He quickly dismissed the thought though, since he couldn’t stand the harsh training in the first place.

And the stat reflection ratio of the clone is 50%.

For this reason, Sangwoo predicted that the increased efficiency would be half of his predicted stat increase.

‘Anyways, lets aim high.’

His goal right now was to have all his stats reach 1, except for magic. In Europe, there was a famous hunter called Hercules who gained 50 strength as soon as he awakened, which was the highest record, but he didn’t want to get that much for now.

‘I’ll need to register for a gym soon.’

In fact, Sangwoo had never learned exercise correctly since he was born.

It was because he didn’t like working out, and he felt lazy to do it.

But now, reality was a game, and Sangwoo was a noob who just begun.

‘… If it’s a game, I don’t want to lose to anyone.’

I want to have the best specs, superior to anyone else.

Those were Sangwoo’s feelings.

The cloning skill he gained from awakening was the perfect skill to realize his ‘reality macro’ that he had imagined.

Now he just had one more thing to do.

Sangwoo glanced at his game characters on the computer monitors which had turned into a means of making money and wasn’t fun anymore. They were characters that he made to automatically hunt with macros.

‘I’m going to have to make the best move.’

Macros were not just automatic. The key was to develop a system, to extract maximum efficiency with the least inputs.

If Sangwoo trained himself, the growth would be faster, but he never considered moving himself. Because it was annoying.

“I’ll be the brains, and you be the brawn .”

… The slave life of Clone No. 1 of self-immolation was particularly difficult.
