Ancient One - Chapter 4.2

Chapter 4.2: School Gate

Perturbed plus a hint of shocking astonishment, Yunxiao left the Arcane Master’s Association’s building with his storage ring.

He walked alone in the streets while drawn inside his own world. “Those materials I asked Jia Rong to gather is indeed a bit difficult to get. I can’t completely rely on that fellow. Sigh… I’ll have to think of another way.”

Yunxiao lowered his head and looked at the storage ring in his hand. He closed his eyes and probed the storage ring with a wisp of his soul consciousness. Once inside, his brows raised for there were all sorts of messy things inside.

“What nonsense is this? There are even aphrodisiacs?” His eyes widened slowly. “Oh, I remember now. The old guy residing this body bought it. It’s quite useless…”

Yunxiao flicked his wrist and casually threw away the small bottle and picked up a large heavy iron black-colored sword. Surprised, he scoffed and smiled wryly. “Only this black iron sword is a bit useful. It weighs thirty-two pounds but I can’t quite bring myself to carry it. Sigh… I’m weak… I really miss my sword. I wonder where it was left behind after my sudden death…”

He looked up and sighed deeply. “I need to open up my seven meridians.”

Yunxiao pulled out the heavy sword from the storage ring and hoisted it over his shoulder while walking towards Jia Lan Academy. “I’ll also need to forge a Profound Weapon once I open my meridians and condense the Essence.”

By the time Yunxiao returned to the academy, he rested the palm of his hands on his knees and panted heavily from exhaustion.

“Chen Zhen, what are you doing?!”

A loud roar came from behind.

Du Feng suddenly made his appearance and stared at Chen Zhen with a cold, daunting smile. “Could it be that you want to go against Boss Lan?”

Chen Zhen’s countenance morphed. Gritting his teeth, he said, “Don’t try to show off by trying to intimidate me. I’m simply passing on Teacher Luo’s words.” He turned his head to Yunxiao. “Young Master Yun—”

“Shut up!” Du Feng clamored and interrupted Chen Zhen. His body leaned forward, five fingers shaped the form of an eagle’s claw; it headed towards Chen Zhen’s throat at a vicious space.

Chen Zhen’s eyes changed drastically. He quickly withdrew his steps backwards and retreated.

Du Feng was already a Martial Artist Disciple with four meridians opened. His spirit energy was far above his!

“Du Feng, you’re going too far!”

Pa!

He struck Du Feng’s eagle claw fist.

Du Feng and Han Bai were both Martial Artist Disciples with four meridians opened. Their strength was about the same.

Shocked, the two retreated.

“Fatty Han, try again!”

There was an extra person beside Du Feng. He crossed his arms in front of his chest and donned a proud, ecstatic look. “I, Luo Jie, just opened five meridians last week! I was worried that I would have no one to practice with, but it seems like that won’t be the case! Fatty Han, I’ll use you as a target and see just how big of a difference there is when fighting against someone with four opened meridians!”

Meanwhile, many of the Jia Lan Academy’s students gathered at the front entrance, their face full of excitement; some even discussed how it’d turn out.

Chen Zhen and Han Bai’s countenance turned ashen.

Suddenly, Qin Ruxue’s ice-cold voice lingered from behind. “I want to see how you two will make us scram!” She said angrily. “I’m going to tell Li Yunxiao that he should attend Teacher Luo’s class session. What then will you do to me?!”

Du Feng and Luo Jie bit their lips and cursed inwardly. They could not afford to offend the kingdom’s princess.

“You, Skinny Chen, Fatty Han, and that trash can be considered lucky this time! Luo Jie, let’s go!” Said Du Feng.

He waved his hand and signaled Luo Jie to leave. Though Luo Jie was stronger than Du Feng in terms of strength, the Du Clan’s position of power was higher than the Luo Clan’s, hence amongst Lan Fei’s henchmen, Luo Jie’s position remained close to the bottom.

“Why does it have to be like this?” Yunxiao rubbed his nose. He planned to go to the gravity room to cultivate whether the teacher chose to punish him or not. “You want to leave after making a mess? You haven’t even cleaned it up yet. A pity.”

Yunxiao placed his hand on the heavy sword’s hilt. He shrugged, smiled foolishly and nonchalantly said, “Oh nothing~ I just want to see how big of a gap there is between someone who has five meridians opened and someone who doesn’t.”

Stunned, everyone’s bodies turned stiff.

“Li Yunxiao, you—” Qin Ruxue blurted out.

“Hahaha! Interesting, interesting, interesting!” Du Feng’s body convulsed from the howling laughter echoing from his throat. “Since you’re courting death, I don’t mind fulfilling your wish!”

The moment he finished speaking, Du Feng used the gravity as his momentum and kicked out his legs and burst out forwards. He readied his fist towards Li Yunxiao while howling and laughing hysterically.

This trash really dared to speak?

Du Feng’s heart bloomed with a sense of ridicule and sneer especially when he thought of Yunxiao’s status. He was actually the direct descendant of the number one powerhouse of Sky Water Nation’s Li Clan!

Yunxiao’s illustrious status gave Du Feng abnormal pleasure at the mere thought of beating him to death. The thought of the trash passing out when Du Feng’s fist landed on Yunxiao’s body gave him a thrilling happiness.

“Be careful!”

Chen Zhen and the others cried out. It was too late to save him. Qin Ruxue grew with fright that her small hands covered her mouth as her beautiful face turned pale.

Yunxiao was only an ordinary youth. How can he withstand a single punch from a Martial Artist Disciple with four opened meridians?

Bang!

All heard the sounds of heavy blow.

Du Feng’s body immediately stopped in front of Li Yunxiao. His fist clearly landed on Li Yunxiao’s temple, but… but why does he hold an indifferent look without the slightest hint of pain?!

“That… that’s not right!”

Luo Jie’s pupil’s constricted. He looked at Du Feng’s fist closely and saw his fist did not hit Li Yunxiao’s face. It was still half a centimeter away!
