Ancient One - Chapter 1.2

Chapter 1.2: Waking Up

Yunxiao turned a deaf ear to all the ridicule and lightly said, “Yes, there are thirty-six orthodox forging method techniques, but sixty years ago, Gu Feiyang created twelve new forging method techniques and obtained the approval of the Arcane Master’s Association. The Arcane Master’s Association then listed the twelve refining methods in public. It should be forty-eight.”

“Tsk, what nonsense is this kid taking? Does he know more than Lord Yang Di?”

“Haha! He’s just afraid of being punished so he starts babbling nonsense.”

“That’s right. Lord Yang Di is the student of the Martial Emperor, Lord Gu Feiyang. Can it be then that Lord Gu Feiyang does not know the basic refining methods?” Yunxiao said calmly.

The various sounds of ridicule were immediately shut down and turned to awry silence.

“All of you, shut up! He’s right!”

Lou Yunchang slammed on the table and instantly caused a gust of wind that blew in all directions. Everyone felt a tyrannical pressure brewing down from the sky causing their faces to morph greatly in shock. The students near the front podium all donned a pale face as if on the point of bleeding.

Yunxiao also felt the wind. He smiled lightly. “Second-Star Four Directions… this girl’s talent isn’t bad. Moreover, it seems her soul power is extremely strong.”

There are nine realms and each realm is split into nine stages called “stars”.

Lou Yunchang looked at Yunxiao coldly. An expression of surprise flashed in her heart. Her eyes swept over the crowd and slowly began explaining.

“There have always been thirty-six basic forging methods. Sixty years ago, Lord Gu Feiyang relies on a genius forging method that no else could compare or create because it had never been seen before. It was the new twelve basic forging methods. Furthermore, he obtained the approval of Arcane Masters. However, these twelve types of refining methods are impossible for ordinary folks to master so when Lord Yang Di wrote “The Basics of Cultivation” he chose to omit the twelve refining methods due to its difficulties.”

All the students were shocked, revealing an expression of disbelief as they looked at Yunxiao’s calm demeanor strangely. It was like the case of a dumb student answering a question not even the top student could answer.

Luo Yunchang was also very surprised. There were forty-eight basic forging methods indeed and they were not considered a secret to the masses, however, as a Martial Arts Apprentice, knowing them was considered valuable.

Suddenly, she thought, “Everyone says Li Yunxiao is a waste in the Martial Way. Could it be that he has a talent for martial arts all along and?”

The thought made her heart palpitate with eagerness. If she’s able to cultivate an Arcane Master, it’s value would far surpass Martial Artists!

She’ll have Yunxiao take the test again and see!

Anger rose from the depths of her heart as she coldly chuckled. “Don’t think that you can’t attend class just because you learned something good. I’ll ask you another question. Once you know the answer, you won’t have to attend any of my classes anymore and you’ll get full marks for passing! If you can’t answer, then just lock yourself in the gravity room for six hours! Please tell me, why do you need the Sky Crystal Sand when forging a Profound Weapon?”

Shook!”

“Six hours?! That’s too cruel!”

“Haha! Didn’t you notice that Teacher Lou was already in a bad mood today before she began teaching? This kid already brought himself more in the limelight.”

“Hehe, he’ll suffer to death! Look at his face—it looks like a face that needs a beating! Wish I could step on him a few times over!”

“Wow, did you hear that? This question is way too difficult to answer! Pfft! Not! Everyone knows that to forge a Profound Weapon, you’d have to add in the Sky Crystal Sand.”

“But, being stuck in the gravity room for six hours with ten times the gravitational force…? That’s torture…!”

Yunxiao shook his head. If it was before, even with a thousand-fold gravitational force, he’d feel nothing, but however, with his current body, ten times the gravitational force was indeed torture.

Luo Yunchang read Yunxiao’s somewhat helpless expression as a form of fear. The praise she had for him earlier was completely wiped out. The thought that he may not be trash faded away.

Furthermore, after the question asked left her mouth, she immediately regretted it. She felt as if she was toying with her students. Guilt and embarrassment formed in her heart. After all, he’d just answered a basic question in an excellent manner. At the very least, he displayed a completely different demeanor towards class, the kind that was attentive.

What she asked, would it not hurt the other party’s self-confidence and self-esteem? Wasn’t she killing off a flower that was about to bloom?”

Just when her mind turned to a flurry of mess, Yunxiao answered without hesitation.

“In fact, one doesn’t necessarily need the Sky Crystal Sand to refine and forge a Profound Weapon. However, it isn’t easy for a normal alchemist to master the degree of fusion between the materials during the refining process. This is when the Sky Crystal Sand for the sole purpose of neutralizing a material.”

Everyone looked at one another in puzzlement because they could not understand what the youth said.
