Qingcheng looked through all the courtyards once. The east courtyard was the largest, with three little buildings that looked two stories high, but they were actually all single-storied. The south and west courtyards only had two such structures. They were also single-storied with a two-story ceiling. Other than those three courtyards, there was also one more that was probably meant to serve as accommodation for guests. There were two two-storied buildings. Each one had six rooms in total and three rooms per story, so there was a grand total of twelve rooms.
On top of all that, the house had a kitchen, a laundry room, living quarters for servants, an ancestral hall, and a standalone building that was three stories high. Each floor had a five-meter ceiling, so this three-story building wasn’t low at all. It was high enough to see half of Weiyang Nation.
After going through the entire place, Qingcheng came to the best courtyard among the three main courtyards, the east one. This one had its own little garden, pavilion, fake mountain and fish pond, and its own tiny kitchen. The three buildings in this courtyard were built around this garden, and there was quite a lot of space between each building, so there was a lot of light coming into each one.
Qingcheng sighed after looking at all of it and said, “The land in the olden days was so cheap…”
Yan Xuan heard her words and thought to himself, “Is land very cheap? It’s probably cheap to someone like Master… Olden Days? What place is that? Aren’t we in Star Continent?”
But while the three of them were wandering around the house, someone next door noticed them. Darkguard reported to Dongfang Haochen, “Reporting to Young Master! Someone has gone into the house next door! They seem to be viewing the place.”
“Oh? Who has the guts to actually become my neighbor?” His voice was icy, so even though it was an alluring and charming voice, Darkguard felt a little chilly after hearing it.
“Young Master, do you need me to find out more?” The house next door hadn’t sold after all this time because of what had happened previously. The moment anybody found out it was located next to Prince Chen Manor, they didn’t even dare to come and view the house, much less buy it.
Dongfang Haochen calmly replied, “No need, I’ll take a look myself. You may be dismissed.” Someone was bold enough to look at the house next door. How interesting, thought Dongfang Haochen.
“Yes, Young Master!” Darkguard bowed before leaving.
Dongfang Haochen came to a three-storied building that was right next to the adjacent estate, which was within his main courtyard, Cloud Court. The study was on the first floor, while his library was on the second floor. Normally, when he came back, he would go up to the third floor now and then to just look out at the scenery. The area that was right next to this building, and was only separated from Prince Chen Manor by a wall, happened to be the east courtyard that Qingcheng was in right now.
Dongfang Haochen hid in the building and looked out through the window to see three people talking to one another in the garden of the east courtyard. When he saw exactly who it was, his eyes narrowed suddenly. “It’s her?” He couldn’t help but feel a sense of joy in his heart.
He didn’t notice it himself, but the corner of his lips had curled up slightly.
He quietly said to himself, “So it’s you. You’re pretty gutsy. Looks like we’re fated to meet.”
After Qingcheng was done viewing the place, she decided to buy it. She liked a quiet place, and the person next door was not around too often. She only needed to live here for three years before she would have to leave for Spirit Sect, so this was just a temporary place for her to stay.
“Alright then, I’ll take this place. First, we should leave, since this place is actually sealed off. Once the sale is completed, get someone to come and clean this place up. I’ll also need to redo this courtyard a bit.” The maintenance of this area was pretty decent, but the type of fittings was seriously not her style. The previous owner of this place was a little too old fashioned…
Yan Xuan replied to her respectfully, saying, “Master, we’ll get this purchase done immediately. The office isn’t too far from here, just two streets away. I’ll bring you there.” He turned to the side and allowed Qingcheng to walk ahead of him.
The three of them left the place, and they had no idea that their next-door neighbor was now looking forward to them moving in as soon as possible.
