Chi Yan breathed a sigh of relief, then said, “Young Master, the young man who applied for the card is still waiting for me in Treasure Trove Court, so if there’s nothing else, I’ll rush back now. As for… the uh… customer information scroll…” He didn’t want to have to remind Dongfang Haochen, but he had to mention it since this was part of his job.
Dongfang Haochen replied, “I’ll keep this information personally for the time being.”
Chi Yan, Darkshadow, and Darknight all felt their lips twitch. Since when was Young Master so concerned about a Black Crystal Card holder?
Chi Yan dared not ask anymore. “He’s still waiting for me in Treasure Trove Court, so I’ll hurry back now.” He thought that Dongfang Haochen would just nod and let him go, but that’s not what he did.
Dongfang Haochen said in a casual tone, “I don’t have anything to do tonight, and I haven’t gone to take a look at Treasure Trove Court in a while, so I’ll go with you.” Then he got up and started walking out of the room, leaving behind three completely confused subordinates.
Chi Yan was a little puzzled and asked the other two, “What’s wrong with Young Master tonight? He seems to be acting funny. Do you guys feel the same?”
Darkshadow replied, “Young Master has been very weird these past two days…” His Young Master actually told him to check on a woman… was that weird? That was VERY weird!
Darknight said, “Enough! You want to know? Follow him, and we’ll find out. Chi Yan, you said the customer who applied for the Black Crystal Card was called Qing Huang? What does he look like?” They started walking while they talked.
Chi Yan replied, “No idea; I couldn’t see his face. He wears a mask over his face!”
“Why are the three of you still here…?” a quiet voice suddenly called out. They felt a chill in their bones as if winter was coming. Dongfang Haochen suddenly appeared in the study again.
The three of them got a terrible shock. Hadn’t he gone out already? Why did he turn back…?
“Oh, haha! Young Master… the three of us haven’t seen each other in a long time, so we couldn’t help but chat for a bit. We’re leaving now, we’re leaving now…” Chi Yan was frightened out of his wits. His Young Master was very good at laying traps for others when he was pissed off, so Chi Yan had to be as careful as possible…
They got onto a Magical Beast carriage and reached the back door of Treasure Trove Court. Dongfang Haochen was already wearing a mask over his face by this time. They went in by a service corridor, then up a hidden staircase to reach the fourth story.
At this time, Qingcheng was still sleeping, so Tealwood and Yan Xuan were outside guarding the door. When Chi Yan walked over, he saw both of them staring straight ahead expressionlessly.
“Er… ahem, sorry to interrupt. I would like to see Mister Qing,” Chi Yan said.
Tealwood saw who had come and said, “Mister Chi Yan, my Master is taking a nap inside. Please wait a while. I’ll wake him up.”
Tealwood used the connection from his bond to send a message to Qingcheng that said, “Master, Master! That Mister Chi Yan is back, and he’s at the door now.”
A voice suddenly spoke within her consciousness and woke Qingcheng from her slumber. “Oh. Let him come in,” she replied.

Dongfang Haochen did not reveal himself and just sat in a hidden area to watch. Darknight and Darkshadow hid themselves along with him, and it was clear from their upset looks that they weren’t willing to be there…
“You’re back…” Her voice was a little lazy after just waking up, and there was a special charm to it…
Chi Yan’s heart trembled. Why did this voice sound so alluring…?
He pulled himself together and regained his composure as he looked at Qingcheng. “Mister Qing, the information you gave has been approved, so I can get you a Black Crystal Card right now. You will receive a 10% discount on all the items you’re buying today.”
Qingcheng nodded after hearing this. “Alright, we’ll get the card now then. Do I pay you right here? This doesn’t look like a suitable place…” She figured that if she poured a few million gold coins out in this spot, it would bury the room…
Chi Yan quickly said, “Mister Qing, please come with me.” He stepped out of the room and unconsciously glanced towards one corner… while Qingcheng followed closely behind him.
That was where Dongfang Haochen was, and it was diagonally across from Qingcheng’s room.
This room was made from a special material that could cut off anybody’s presence. A small part of the wall was made from a special sort of thin crystal, so others couldn’t look in, but anyone sitting inside could look out. That way, he could see everything happening across the corridor.
When Dongfang Haochen saw Tealwood outside the room across the corridor, he felt a strange joy in his heart. That wolf? It was her! He was right!!
Chi Yan walked out, then Qingcheng followed behind him. Dongfang Haochen’s lips curled up slightly. Was that actually a smile? That was indeed a smile…
Darknight looked back at Qingcheng as she walked out of the room. Why did his Young Master smile at this person? That was very rare. Normally he only had a cold smile on his face… what was going on…?
Darkshadow was equally puzzled, and he quietly asked, “Young Master? Are you in a very good mood?”
Dongfang Haochen’s expression immediately reverted to his usual icy self. “Did you see something? Huh?”
Darkshadow quickly replied, “Oh no, no, I didn’t see anything. I was just asking randomly, just spouting nonsense…” His Young Master’s mood could change so quickly. It was too difficult for him…
Dongfang Haochen couldn’t be bothered with him. He just focused on the person who was already in the next room. The mask covered her face, so he could only see her slim figure.
Qingcheng wasn’t sure why either, but she kept getting the feeling that someone was watching her, and it made her feel uneasy. But after looking around and making sure there was nobody else there, she gave up thinking about it.
Dongfang Haochen watched how Qingcheng warily looked around her and actually stopped in his direction for two seconds. He thought to himself, “This young fellow is pretty vigilant.”
Chi Yan got a staff to bring a machine meant for calculating coins, and it worked like those banknote counting machines modern banks had. It would automatically stop once one full box of gold coins was poured in.
Qingcheng’s lips twitched slightly. What a high-tech machine…
“Mister Chi Yan, I’ll just pour the coins in, then.” With that, she waved a hand and tossed in one million coins. When she had poured coins in ten times, it was exactly ten million.
But it didn’t stop there! She continued to pour the coins in another ten more times to make up twenty million!
Chi Yan was a little shocked… this Mister Qing had to be the son of some huge reclusive aristocratic family or something. He was so young but so rich… he looked at the twenty large boxes in the hall with gold coins glittering inside and sighed quietly as he thought to himself, “Oh my… this is really driving me crazy!”
He wasn’t the only one who thought that way. Darknight and Darkshadow were also covering their mouths as they hid behind their Young Master…
But someone watching this young fellow actually couldn’t stop his lips from curling up slightly again. He actually smiled again.
Tealwood didn’t think much of it. He didn’t really care about money and was only concerned with the fruit juice and barbequed meat his master made… the world of a glutton was just that simple.
Yan Xuan was so proud. His master was really a black hole of money!
“Alright, Mister Qing. These are all the items you’ve bought today. Please check them to see if everything is alright. If everything is good to go, I will deduct the total cost from your Black Crystal Card and hand it back to you after that,” Chi Yan said.
“I trust your shop. Just deduct the cost before returning the card to me, then,” she responded.
“Sure. Please wait for a moment,” Chi Yan replied.
After a few moments, Chi Yan said to Qingcheng, “Your total expenditure today is 6.14 million gold coins. After the 10% discount, your total is 5.526 million gold coins. We’ll waive the 6,000 for you. So, after deducting the total amount from your card, your card is left with 14.48 million gold coins. Please be careful with this card. Next time, you can just use this to pay for any items in the shop.” Chi Yan politely handed the card to Qingcheng.
