“Someone familiar? Master, where?” Tealwood curiously peeked out of the window as well.
Qingcheng looked away and calmly replied, “They’re gone…” But they would eventually meet properly sooner or later!
Tealwood didn’t think anything of it and just replied with an ‘oh.’ Then, he asked a little excitedly, “Master, do you want to take a walk along the streets? It seems pretty lively out there.”
Qingcheng glanced at him and said quietly, “We won’t go out now. We’ll go out later. Your looks are too far above average, and you’d attract a lot of unnecessary attention.”
Tealwood was speechless and started complaining in his heart, “Hello, who’s the one with looks too far above average?! ARGH! Master! How could you say such things without batting an eyelid? ARGH!”
Yan Xuan’s lips couldn’t help but twitch… he realized that this master was quite interesting… ho ho.
“Don’t think I don’t know what you’re thinking about. Do you want to return to the Magical Beast interspace to cultivate for a few more days?” Qingcheng asked. She started being mean… she was the one who didn’t want to go out right now because she didn’t want to bump into those familiar people, but she put the blame on Tealwood instead!
Tealwood immediately widened his eyes, then quickly bowed low and said as ingratiatingly as possible, “Oh no, no, no, Master, you are the cleverest and the greatest! Lowly Tealwood is the one who attracts unnecessary attention! I am the one who attracts unnecessary attention!” He didn’t want to go to the Magical Beast interspace. There were many people walking up and down the street, and sometimes a Magical Beast carriage would go by as well.
“Eldest Brother, what are you looking at?” a gentle female voice called out. This voice belonged to a sophisticated looking lady with delicate features and a long white dress. The smile on her face was just bright enough for others to find her very likable.
“Nothing. I just felt like there was someone staring at me from behind. Perhaps I was just imagining things. Ling’er, let’s go. We shouldn’t let the crown prince wait for too long.” A man in a blue brocade robe had a handsome and clean face, but his darkened eyes had a sharpness hidden in them.
These two were the familiar people that Qingcheng had mentioned – the siblings from the Feng family, Feng Qingyan and Feng Qingling.
After hearing what Feng Qingyan said, Feng Qingling immediately looked like a shy little girl, and her voice carried a tinge of joy as she said, “Yes, Eldest Brother. We ought to hurry along.” The two of them walked on. They had no idea that the person they were sure was dead had already returned to the city!
Qingcheng watched the two of them leave and thought to herself, “You two would never have thought that I, Feng Qingcheng, have already come back, right? Ha!”
“Alright now, that’s quite enough. I need to take a rest now. I’ll wake up again at a quarter to 8:00 in the evening, and we can go out for a walk,” Qingcheng said before turning to go downstairs.
The two men followed after her, and Tealwood automatically stood outside, guarding the door to her room.

Dongfang Haochen had instructed Darknight to investigate the Second Young Mistress of the Feng family, Feng Qingcheng. Darknight returned in the night with his report.

Darknight held onto the information he had and came to Dongfang Haochen’s room. “Young Master, I’ve got the information you wanted. Here’s the report from Darkshadow.” Darknight passed the report to Dongfang Haochen.
Dongfang Haochen took it from him, opened a specially made thin piece of crystal, and filled it with his Spirit Qi. The delicate crystal flickered a few times, and then words appeared on it. The report had detailed records of everything within the Feng family, including all the wicked things that Feng Qiming and his family had done that they thought nobody knew about. Part of it was how Feng Qingcheng’s family had been killed and details of what happened on the day Feng Qingcheng died. The report had records from all the way up until when Qingcheng’s body was abandoned in Langya Magical Beast Forest.
The thin crystal finally flickered and grew dim after he was done reading, so Dongfang Haochen flung it back to Darknight. For some reason, after reading this information… Langya Magical Beast Forest? Why was it there? That young lady… could it be…
“Darknight, where did the last bit of information come from?” he asked as he turned to Darknight.
“Darkshadow said that this last bit of information on the Second Miss Feng comes from one of our informants, so the entire recount has been proven to be authentic,” replied Darknight.
After hearing the response, Dongfang Haochen gave him instructions. “Send word to Prince Chen Manor that I’ll be heading back tonight. Tell Darkshadow to wait at the entrance to the swamp forest, and bring along the portraits of Xia Qingyu and Feng Qingcheng before she turned eight. Send a message to Prince Yi to tell him that I’m returning to Weiyang Nation first,” he said. He was very curious and wanted to prove the guess he had.
The two of them quickly left the courtyard, and Darknight called on his own roc, a flying Magical Beast. The two of them flew at high speed and reached the swamp forest just after 7:00 the next morning. They came to the Teleportation Gate on the west side of the continent.
The two of them came to the Teleportation Gate while Dongfang Haochen had already put a silver mask on over his face. He wore a muted black brocade robe with gold embroidered flowers on the hem and matching boots, and he exuded an icy aura all around himself. A few guards who were standing watch over the Teleportation Gate immediately blocked Dongfang Haochen’s way. “Who are you? How dare you barge in here? Those from the Western Continent are not to go to the Eastern Continent without any authorization! Go back to where you came from!” the guards said sternly and seriously.
But Dongfang Haochen didn’t even bother looking at them. Darknight showed them a plaque, and after the guards saw it, they immediately turned pale from fright.
“Sir, this way please, this way please…” They immediately put on their best ingratiating smiles. They could really change their attitudes fast…
The two of them stood within the Teleportation Gate. SWOOSH… the Teleportation Gate was activated.
After five seconds, they reached the eastern part of Star Continent. Once they came out from the Teleportation Gate on that side, they took the roc and flew to the entrance of the swamp forest. They finally reached it after four hours.
Darkshadow had been waiting for a long time, and he finally spotted his Young Master. He was so excited that he started jumping up and down. “Young Master! Young Master! Darkshadow is over here!”
After Dongfang Haochen landed, he glanced at him and just said, “The portraits.”
Darkshadow made a face. “What’s going on? I thought Young Master doesn’t like women? Why are you concerned over one now? And it’s even someone who’s had children before. No matter how pretty she is, she’s still the mother of a child…”
“Darkshadow, your skin has been quite loose lately, huh? Later we’ll go to the discipline hall, and I’ll tighten that mouth of yours again.” The icy and bone-chilling words made Darkshadow immediately shrink back and shudder.
He passed the portraits to Dongfang Haochen, then ran behind Darknight for some comfort.
