He pulled at the string holding Nadia’s undergarments up, rashly pulling it off as though he couldn’t be bothered. In an instant, her lower body felt empty. A piece of ragged fabric fluttered down the stairs.
“But why does that bastard stare at you like he’s going to eat you up?”
“I don’t know either!”
After shouting, Nadia breathed heavily.
She got caught. She was desperately hoping that no one would notice Asheel’s behavior, especially when he was looking at her for a long time, but it was a wish that wouldn’t be granted. She couldn’t do anything but deny it.
Hmm. He hummed for a moment. The suspicion might not have disappeared, but it seemed like he wasn’t going to interrogate her further. This brought her relief.
If he pushed her further, Nadia wasn’t confident that she could continue pretending to be calm until the end. She thought that it was better now to turn his attention to what he’s doing now, teasing her as it was.
She heard the belt of her dress loosening below. He really seemed to be planning to do this here.
Nadia looked around nervously. The entrance to the hall was wide open, and the sun’s rays streamed freely through the windows, soft wind blowing in. Then, there were hallways at both sides of the hall, and the doors to the numerous rooms were visible.
There was no one around them, but she was so anxious about showing her body in an open place where anyone could come in anytime. Nadia thumped on his chest to persuade him somehow.
“Edwin, let’s… let’s go to the room…”
“Why?”
The moment he calmly said this as though he truly saw no problem with this, she thought that she would lose strength in her body for a moment, but she couldn’t just follow what he wanted this time. Her dignity wouldn’t allow her to follow him blindly and shamelessly do this in a place like this.
Nadia looked around worriedly. At any moment, servants and knights would pass by in groups. She felt like they would definitely see the both of them.
“What do you mean ‘why’… Someone might come here…”
“No one will. I told them to get out.”
“But!”
As though he felt it was too troublesome to keep her in his arms, he let go of Nadia’s waist. Feeling the dizzying vertigo as she leaned back, she flailed and immediately clung to Edwin.
With a sly smile on his lips, Edwin embraced her once more and supported her. Nadia, who thought that she was about to fall off the railing, glared resentfully at him as tears formed at the corners of her eyes.
“Don’t argue and just stay still. It’ll be done in no time.”
