A Man Living in the Countryside Would Fly Up to Heaven at Daytime - Chapter 35

“Master Su, stop being so humble! Now, we all know you are a martial arts master!”

“That’s right! Come out of retirement, Master Su! Start a dojo and accept disciples! Make your name known, wouldn’t that be great?”

“Bro, did you retire to a rural village and become a streamer because of some problems? If you are that powerful, why don’t you join the MMA?”

“Master Su, come on! Teach us one or two moves for self-defense!”

The haters in the stream stopped posting offensive comments.

Everyone saw with their own eyes that Su Yu was able to perforate the tree with a single breath. Who else could hate him for that?

“I have evidence proving that Su Yu is cultivating to be an immortal! I’m making a compilation video for Bilibili. Remember to go watch it later!”

“Cultivating to be an immortal? Impossible! I’ll never do that! It’s just a myth circulating among people. There are no immortals or deities in the world. We must believe in science, we must believe in materialism! All those gods and deities are all fake!” Su Yu stated.

“Then, how do you explain your breath perforating the tree?”

“Yeah, explain!”

“Please explain, Master Su.”

“I…It’s actually the theory of the air cannon. It’s all about the dynamics of air. The air acts as a medium. You will need a differential pressure device and an automatic control air valve to control the compressed air into rapid-fire, so it can produce a powerful blast. Theoretically speaking, we can make it happen with our teeth and tongue alone. You guys can give it a try if you don’t believe me. It’s simple,” Su Yu said.

The viewers were confused once more.

“To hell with your air dynamics! You can really horsesh*t!”

“I give up. Cultured cultivators are not as scary as scientific cultivators.”

“You have my knees! Master Su’s ability to horsesh*t is world No. 1!”

Su Yu then switched the topic. “Okay, that’s it for our little exercise. I think my porridge is done. It’s time for breakfast.”

He quickly fled back to the kitchen.

Little White and Big Yellow were still working hard at their station. They worked together to stoke the fire.

However, Big Yellow could not hold his canine instinct back when he saw the perfect stick. He bit and chewed on the stick as though it was a toy.

“Hahaha! Big Yellow! You are funny! You are as dumb as the husky in my house!”

“I somehow see the ‘huskiness’ in Big Yellow.”

“Huskies are overjoyed. So, is Big Yellow my long-lost brother?”

“Little White is so obedient! I’ll take one obedient Little White!”

Su Yu walked to the pot and uncovered the lid. The moment he opened the lid, a golden glare shone out from the seams and almost blinded the viewers in the stream.

“Sh*t! What’s that!?”

“It’s so dazzling! Dude, did you put gold into the pot?”

“What are you doing? Trying to blind my eyes with that dazzling gold?”

“Master Su, what are you doing?!”

Su Yu was also bedazzled by the golden glare.

When he fully uncovered the lid, he finally saw the shining pot of porridge. It was glimmering in gold!

“Holy sh*t! Is this for real?!”

Even though Su Yu knew that the rice he had used was not ordinary rice but rice from the cultivation world, it was still difficult to believe.

Were all items from the cultivation world this high-profile? Even a pot of porridge shone in gold!

“I’m blind! Is this for real? That’s a pot of porridge?”

“Is this Master Su’s porridge? Is it like the anime Chuuka Ichiban, where all the food shines in gold?”

“I’m already crying! Chuuka Ichiban never lied to me! High-end cuisines really do shine in gold!”

“Master Su, are you sure you don’t want to explain?”

“Good lord! Another evidence showing that Master Su is cultivating to be an immortal! Even his porridge is golden!”

“Shang Wei! How dare you claim to be mortal!?”

“I’m curious how the porridge tastes like.”

“I…can explain! Really!” Su Yu sputtered. He had a feeling the situation would go out of hand soon. The viewers would call him a cultivator again.

A quick thought later, he got an idea.

“It’s pumpkin! It’s pumpkin! I added pumpkin to the porridge! That’s why it’s golden!”

“Don’t you patronize us! Do you think we’ve never had pumpkin porridge before? Even if you added pumpkin into the porridge, it won’t shine in gold!”

“Stop struggling, Master Su! It’s just cultivation. We never discriminate against a cultivator. Why are you doing this to yourself?”

Su Yu rolled his eyes as he gave up. He was afraid that the more he tried to explain, the more he would reveal.

Eat! He could just eat the porridge and everything would be a-okay!

Su Yu scooped some golden porridge out of the pot.

It was summer, so it was hot even indoors. Despite it being early in the morning it was steaming in the kitchen.

Su Yu took the bowl of porridge outside to the yard. He pulled a small table out and placed it under the tree.

Both Little White and Big Yellow had gotten used to being to his left and to his right during breakfast.

Su Yu gave each of them a bowl of golden porridge. When he looked at his own bowl, the golden color lifted his appetite.

He had a spoon of the porridge and it surprised him, causing him to raise his brows unconsciously.

The porridge was delicious! He did not put any seasoning, but it still tasted so sweet. Mushy and soft, it tasted like he was drinking glutinous porridge instead though the taste was a whole lot better. On top of that, the mushy rice had a rich texture and a subtle fragrance.

Awesome! As expected of the rice that cost 10,000 Popularity!

It was worth it!

Su Yu finished the bowl swiftly. He then got himself a second bowl.

Both Little White and Big Yellow were also captivated by the golden porridge. They gobbled down their porridge rapidly.

Little White was a picky eater. Despite usually eating nothing but ginseng, he even showed interest in the golden porridge.

He already had three bowls and was going for his fourth, not showing any signs of stopping.

The snake and dog asked for more, but Su Yu gave them a punch in their heads instead.

“Enough! This is enough for both of you! Are you two rice bowls or what? If you guys eat so much every day, how can I afford to keep you guys?”

Both Little White and Big Yellow were punished for their greediness, but they dared not argue. Aggrieved, they ran away from Su Yu.

Su Yu got some alone time to enjoy his porridge.

While he was enjoying his porridge, someone in the stream noticed something lying down behind Su Yu.

“Bro, don’t keep eating! Share some with the big fellow behind you!”

“Yeah! Dude, you’ve fed the snake and the puppy. Time to feed the big dog behind you. That big dog looks so sad lying there!”

“Big dog? What big dog? Who’s there?” Su Yu was surprised by the comments.

Big dog? There was only one dog in his house.

“The one behind you. It’s huge. It’s my first time seeing such a huge dog! What kind of breed is it?”

Su Yu turned around. He knew what the viewers were talking about. It was not a dog but the South Chinese tiger, Peggy!

Peggy was showing its back to the camera, so the viewers did not know that it was actually a tiger.

The viewers who asked the question must be new to the stream because they did not know Su Yu had taken the tigers in.

Then, Su Yu called Peggy. “Peggy, say hi to the camera!”

Peggy turned around. “Growl? Open your d*mned eyes and look! I’m a tiger! Not a dog! A pure breed South Chinese tiger!”

The newer viewers were shocked.

“Holy sh*t! A tiger?! Isn’t that a dog?! Where did it come from?!”
