A Fascinating Marriage with the Colonel - Chapter 15

His hot breath broke Qin Shu’s defence.

She could hardly stand on her feet, with her heart thumping wildly.

It was in human nature to desire for food and sex.

Qin Shu was not that virtuous and reserved as Tang Anru. She kind of enjoyed Ling Mohan’s kisses.

It was just that Ling Mohan was not a good kisser. He kissed Qin Shu so hard that her tongue got dumb.

Things were almost out of control. Qin Shu barely called back her reason, turning her head aside and pushing Ling Mohan away.

“Stop! Don’t cross the line!”

Ling Mohan got struck dumb, staring at Qin Shu furiously, “Pardon?”

His fiery and brutal tone revealed his wrath and impatience, as if he would get mad once she said it again.

A hungry man was dreadful!

But Qin Shu was not scared but delighted by his anger.

It was her revenge.

He forced her to marry him and took away her food. Qin Shu just wouldn’t let it go.

She put on a calm and sweet smile though trembling inside.

“Haven’t you heard the saying that men with charm would seduce woman? Only those suck play hard.”

“You shall know fear!”

With a cold smile and furious look, Ling Mohan had no intention to let her go.

Qin Shu’s smile froze.

Ling Mohan stood up unexpectedly when Qin Shu was ready to surrender. After throwing a cold stare at her,

he left with a sour look.

Qin Shu, “…”

Lame!

Now Qin Shu was quite sure that Ling Mohan was a total buster. There was not at all elegance, nobility or romance in him.

Lying in bed, she tossed the ideas around on how to deal with Ling Mohan. Touch him with genuine attitudes or just act more shameless than him?

She must work this question out. Otherwise, she would be long bullied by him.

She took a shower and came out in a bathrobe.

She was with no pajamas, only a bathrobe.

Sleeping in it was neither cosy nor safe.

Roaming around, she found a spacious closet behind a screen decorated with ink-wash painting. It must be at least 100 sqm.

So luxurious! The devil colonel!

When you gain power, you have money. Qin Shu knew it well.

In the closet were many women dresses. She had thought they must belong to one of Ling Mohan’s mistresses. She took up one of them. To her surprise, all of them were branded items, with labels on and in her size.

Qin Shu remembered that Ling Mohan had asked Adjutant Li to buy clothes. “You’re not a total jerk.”

Qin Shu put on a Chanel silk nightgown, buttoned it up and returned to the bedroom.

Her phone was ringing. It was Tang Anru.

“Hey Anru. Anything wrong?” Qin Shu lay in bed.

“Did I wake you up?” Tang Anru asked gently.

“Not at all. I haven’t gone to bed yet.”

“I just want to apologize for what happened today. I misunderstood you. It has nothing to do with Yang Bin. It’s all my fault.”

Qin Shu felt ridiculous. She had never thought about blaming anyone but Tang Anru was obviously presuming so. It seemed that in Tang Anru’s eyes, Qin Shu was petty.

Qin Shu was upset but she did not incline to be mad with Tang Anru.

“I blame nobody. But I must find out that ill-disposed bitch and give it all back!” Qin Shu replied in a pleasant tone.

Tang Anru was relieved, “OK…OK then. Are you…living with someone?”

“What do you mean?” Qin Shu frowned.

“Don’t mistake it. I am just worried about you. Is your friend a military guy? If not, you must be cautious not to be deceived by others.” Tang Anru explained.

Her meaning was kind of subtle.

“He is my friend. Nothing to worry about,” Qin Shu didn’t intend to disclose Ling Mohan’s identity for fear of any trouble.

Quitting the topic on Ling Mohan, Tang Anru said, “My boyfriend wants to invite you and Yang Bin to dinner tomorrow night. You must show up as my bestie.”

Qin Shu had heard about Tang Anru’s mysterious boyfriend. They had been together for about three months. It was no harm to have a dinner together.

Qin Shu agreed.

Qin Shu stayed vigilant for fear that Ling Mohan would take advantage of her.

But when she fell asleep, Ling Mohan did not come back at all, busy with his work at the study.
