A Different Husband Every Day - Chapter 52

A proposal and a wedding ring was part of the marriage process between two people, but seeing this process being completed by Xu Yimo made the moment particularly precious.

This was something that he shouldn’t have understood, yet he was willing to learn and put in the effort. This meant he truly cared about Li Weiyin.

Because of this, Li Weiyin’s heart subconsciously softened and her eyes became teary,

Li Weiyin lifted her head, rubbed the corner of her eyes, and tried not to cry.

“Yinyin…did I do something wrong?” Not only was Li Weiyin not happy, she was even crying; Xu Yimo suddenly fell into a panic.

He threw the ring behind him, crawled up to Li Weiyin, and grabbed her hands that were resting in her lap.

Li Weiyin blinked her teary eyes and watched as the ring box flew across the sky in a beautiful angle and fell on the ground. As it rolled away, the ring inside also rolled out.

It bounced across the ground, spun a half-circle, and stopped beside her foot. All of a sudden, she didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

She leaned over and picked up the ring. This ring was extremely sparkly because the diamond was really big. A modest estimate would be at least 10 carats.

Although Li Weiyin had no interest in jewelry, she still knew how to appreciate it. Whether it was the color, clarity, or cutting, this diamond ring was of the highest standard. Unfortunately, she did not have Western tastes.

A colorless teardrop-shaped diamond was set on the ring with prongs and it looked simple yet elegant.

“Yinyin…do you not like it?” Xu Yimo looked troubled. Li Weiyin’s expression was hard to read but she did not look happy.

He didn’t know which ring looked good when he went to buy it, he simply bought the most expensive one!

Using the most direct way to express her appreciation of the ring, Li Weiyin handed the ring to Xu Yimo and stretched out her hand, “Help me put it on.”

Xu Yimo’s face immediately lit up and his eyes curved like he was staring at her reflection in the lake as a spring breeze swept past. He held the ring in his hand and carefully put it on for her. It wasn’t too big nor too small—it was just right!

“It fits well,” Li Weiyin was a little surprised by how well it fit.

“I called Miaomiao…” Xu Yimo said, hoping for praise.

When he was buying the ring, the shop assistant asked him for his wife’s ring size. At that time, neither he nor Assistant Yang knew.

But, he couldn’t call Li Weiyin because he wanted to surprise her, so he thought of Guo Miaoxuan.

Poor Assistant Yang was really put to the challenge. Since Xu Yimo didn’t know Guo Miaoxuan’s phone number, he got Assistant Yang to make some calls. After several calls back and forth, they finally got in contact with Guo Miaoxuan. And, fortunately, she knew Li Weiyin’s ring size.

This was because Guo Miaoxuan had bought a pair of best friend rings the previous year and took Li Weiyin to get her finger measured.

“You are so thoughtful and amazing,” Li Weiyin praised.

Xu Yimo sneakily smiled and his face turned red. He carefully sat next to Li Weiyin and said with anticipation, “Yinyin…can I kiss you now?”

Li Weiyin froze and looked at Xu Yimo’s twinkling eyes. She closed her own eyes and replied, “Yes.”

Needless to say, Assistant Yang must have taught him this too!

Xu Yimo’s eyes lit up. He quickly stood up and brushed his soft lips across her cheek. As soon as they touched, he backed away.
