A Different Husband Every Day - Chapter 47

After lunch, Li Weiyin had a tour around the house with Xu Yimo and got a rough idea of the place. Xu Yimo had the habit of taking an afternoon nap, so he quickly began to feel tired.

Li Weiyin tidied her things, turned on a computer and clicked open a webpage. It was for the International Golden Spoon Culinary Competition.

She had no intention of participating before because she thought she didn’t have enough qualifications and she did not plan to be a chef.

However, her plans had changed now. She still didn’t want to be a chef, but she now wanted to partake in the competition.

The ranking didn’t matter. The most important thing was accumulating experience. The deadline for registration was the next day, so she quickly filled in her details and submitted it.

At that moment, there were some sounds from downstairs. As soon as Li Weiyin walked down, she saw a woman in a blue and white floral dress. Her eyes looked similar to Mrs. Xu’s, but she didn’t appear as mature and capable. Instead, she had a much softer appearance.

Her skin was fair and delicate, and she looked no more than 30. But, she was actually 42.

“You must be Yinyin.” Of course, Xu Yazheng knew Li Weiyin was coming today, so she smiled at her gently, “I’m sorry I wasn’t home to greet you. Something happened to my child.”

“You don’t need to be polite, Auntie,” Li Weiyin said in a reserved manner.

“I can’t expect you to call me Auntie without offering anything,” Xu Yazheng smiled as she walked upstairs. A moment later, she returned with a jewelry box and handed it to Li Weiyin. “I don’t know what you like, so I selected something based on my own assumptions. I hope you like it.”

“Thank you, Auntie,” Li Weiyin thanked sincerely.

“Open it and have a look.”

Li Weiyin lowered her head and opened the box. Inside was a set of pink diamond jewelry that looked clearly expensive.

“I never met you before this, so think of this as a first meeting gift. I will buy you something more suitable in the future.” Xu Yazheng simply assumed that young women were filled with vigor and would suit vibrant colors like pink. But, after meeting Li Weiyin, she realized she wasn’t a weak and delicate woman.

“I really like it. Thank you, Auntie,” Li Weiyin quickly replied.

“We will be a family from now on. No need to be so polite,” Xu Yazheng said gently. Afraid that Li Weiyin hadn’t adjusted yet, she said, “I’m a bit tired. I will go get some rest. What would you like to eat tonight? You can try my cooking.”

“I want to eat Yinyin’s cooking. Yinyin cooks really well.” Xu Yimo happened to wake up at this time and he was walking downstairs.

Li Weiyin looked at Xu Yazheng shyly, but Xu Yazheng was not angry. “Then, my mouth is in for a treat thanks to Yimo.”

Xu Yimo lifted his chin proudly, completely unaware of how messy his hair was, “You guys are lucky because I married Yinyin.”

“Pfff,” Xu Yazheng burst into laughter.

Li Weiyin couldn’t help but step forward, “Hurry, have a bath and wash your hair.”

“OK, I’ll do as you say,” Xu Yimo said obediently before returning upstairs.

Xu Yazheng watched in shock. When did their Young Master become so agreeable?

“What did you do? Why is he so well-behaved today?” She almost thought it was someone else… But, then again, the other three had their bad moments too.

Hasn’t he always been this well-behaved?

Li Weiyin thought she didn’t understand Xu Yimo well enough yet, so she replied, “I guess the good food satisfied him.”

Xu Yazheng immediately started doubting herself, “Does that mean my cooking is really that bad?”

Li Weiyin quickly changed the subject, “By the way, will Mom and the three brothers come for dinner tonight?”

“Three brothers?” Xu Yazheng revealed a helpless expression.
