A Different Husband Every Day - Chapter 46

Adding lard to the wok again, she heated it on medium heat, coated the glutinous rice paper parcels with the batter she pre-prepared, and deep-fried it for 1 minute. The oil temperature couldn’t be too high. As soon as the parcels turned golden brown, she scooped them up and plated them.

“It smells so so so nice…” As the fragrance spread, Xu Yimo’s eyes practically stuck to the plate of chicken.

Li Weiyin handed him a pair of chopsticks, “Give it a try. Be careful that it’s hot.”

She then moved over to another stove and lit up two of the burners. One was for the soup, and the other was for the stir-fry.

15 minutes later, the two dishes and soup were completed, and the rice in the cooker was already cooked.

Xu Yimo waited a while before the crispy cream chicken parcels were no longer hot enough to burn his mouth. He bit down with one bite and a loud crunch was heard. The chicken was browned on the outside, tender on the inside, and it exuded the sweet fragrance of milk. As he chewed, his entire mouth was filled with crispiness and flavor.

“Yinyin, you’re amazing. This is delicious!” Xu Yimo said with oily lips as a look of enjoyment appeared on his face.

“Should I call Mommy and tell her to come home for lunch?” Li Weiyin asked as she carried two bowls of rice to the dining table.

Xu Yimo already moved the other dishes to the dining table.

“Mommy doesn’t come home for lunch and often misses dinner too,” Xu Yimo said as he looked at his watch. “If she comes home to eat, she usually calls me in advance.”

“Then, hurry and eat,” Li Weiyin sat down and placed a crispy cream chicken parcel into his plate.

“Uh huh,” Xu Yimo quickly nodded his head and lowered it to enjoy the meal.

Although he ate really quickly, his actions were not impatient and rude, and he did not produce any sound. Clearly, he was taught well.

Li Weiyin usually ate a lot for lunch so she refilled her bowl of rice once.

Most of her nutritional intake was during the day, and at night, she did not eat any staple food nor greasy food.

Apart from health, this helped her manage her figure. Thus, at 166cm tall, she only weighed 45kg.

After eating, Xu Yimo cleaned up the table without being asked and stopped Li Weiyin from entering the kitchen, “Yinyin, I will wash the dishes. Let me do it.”

This small gesture warmed Li Weiyin’s heart. So, instead of fighting him for it, she sat to the side and watched.

Xu Yimo washed the dishes with seriousness. Although his actions were slow, the end result was sparkling clean dishes.

“You’re amazing too, Yimo,” Li Weiyin praised.

Xu Yimo’s eyes curved again, and he looked so cute that Li Weiyin could practically imagine a wagging tail behind him.

All of a sudden, she was reminded of Angel. “Yimo, can we have a doggy?”

“Yes, do you like doggies too?” Xu Yimo nodded his head with anticipation.

“If you like doggies, why don’t you own one?” The Xu Family did not have any pets; not even an aquarium inside the house.

“Mommy was worried that I can’t take care of it,” Xu Yimo replied sadly.

“Didn’t Mommy hire anyone to take care of you?” Li Weiyin found it strange that there wasn’t a single helper in the house.

“Auntie takes care of me, but she had something to do today and went out. She will be back later,” Xu Yimo replied.

Mrs. Xu’s younger sister was called, Xu Yazheng. This, Li Weiyin already knew. Apparently, after a divorce with her husband, she did not fight for custody of her child and returned to the Xu Mansion without ever remarrying again.

Thus, Xu Yazheng was responsible for taking care of Xu Yimo.
