A Different Husband Every Day - Chapter 42

Just as Li Weiyin was feeling moved, loud footsteps resounded again and Xu Yimo returned hastily like the wind.

“Yinyin, let me show you my room,” Xu Yimo grabbed Li Weiyin’s hand and gently shook it.

His every move contained a childlike innocence, and his eyes were bright and clear without a trace of impurity.

How did he manage to do that?!

Mrs. Xu glanced at her watch, “I happen to have something else to do. Get yourself acquainted with Yimo first. His auntie will come by at night and we will have a meal together.”

“I’ll see you out…”

“No need. We don’t have that many rules in our family. Just be comfortable,” Mrs. Xu waved her hand, gesturing for Li Weiyin to stay.

But, even though she said this, Li Weiyin still stood at the entrance and watched as she left with Assistant Yang and others.

Afterwards, only Li Weiyin and Xu Yimo remained in the big house. Li Weiyin turned around and looked at Xu Yimo calmly.

Xu Yimo opened his eyes wide, looked at Li Weiyin who suddenly changed, and revealed a scared expression, “Yinyin, you look a little scary…”

Li Weiyin stretched out her hand, “Young Master Xu, it’s just the two of us, stop acting like an idiot.”

The young man’s twinkling eyes instantly turned dark and dull. Xu Yimo retreated slowly until he backed against the wall. He then used the wall as a support, squatted, and hugged himself in a hurt and self-protecting manner.

Li Weiyin: “…”

If his cautious look earlier made her feel cruel and evil, Xu Yimo’s current performance made her feel like she deserved to die.

F*ck that!

Li Weiyin had never felt like she lost her mind like this before. She was so annoyed, she couldn’t help but grab her hair. “Can we chat properly? Don’t tell me that you forgot about our encounters at night.”

They had already reached this point, did he still have to continue acting?

Or…did the Xu Mansion have surveillance cameras? Li Weiyin looked around and actually spotted a camera.

Discovering the root of the problem, Li Weiyin sighed, walked over to the man, and squatted, “Sorry, I didn’t do it on purpose.”

Xu Yimo rested his chin on his crossed arms and looked at Li Weiyin timidly.

Li Weiyin took a deep breath and controlled herself. She couldn’t let herself fall apart.

Li Weixin had opposed her since senior high school, but even she couldn’t provoke her emotions so easily. Yet, Xu Yimo made one simple move and he succeeded.

“Yinyin, you can’t call me an idiot from now on, I’m not an idiot,” probably sensing that Li Weiyin was holding back, Xu Yimo spoke up with hesitation. He then repeated with emphasis, “I’m not an idiot.”

“OK, you’re not an idiot,” Li Weiyin cooperated and nodded.

Of course, you’re not an idiot. If you were an idiot, then everyone on earth would be idiots.

Xu Yimo listened to Li Weiyin’s insincere response, but his mood still improved.

Yinyin’s apologized so I should forgive her!

After reminding himself, Xu Yimo immediately went back to normal and grabbed Li Weiyin’s hand, “I’ll take you to see my room.”

As soon as he finished speaking, he quickly corrected himself, “No, that’s not right, it will be our room from now on.”

Li Weiyin did not say a word as she let Xu Yimo pull her upstairs. The wooden stairs had a traditional feel to them just like the rest of the house.

Meanwhile, the handrail and the skirting were made from golden thread wood, giving the house a touch of bright color and luxury.
